This is Yesterday Posted December 27, 2004 Share Posted December 27, 2004 Lifeblood - Manic Street Preachers. I don't know what I was expecting, but first time I put it on I didn't like it. I'd now say it's better than their last two albums and the poor sales of the album don't justify how good it is. They made the mistake of releasing The love of Richard Nixon as the first single so that contributed to the poor reception, as well as the NME and Q magazine not giving it good reviews. How dare 35 year old men act their age and mellow out :rolleyes: There are a few fillers but songs like "1985", "Empty Souls", "To repel ghosts" and "song for departure" are all great.
