i've a terrible admission; i have great difficulty getting hot and bothered over sexy-fit men --or women! ;) --because i am, myself, neither sexy or fit! i get started on a really great fantasy, and then...well it just seems so wrong/improbable, i just can't carry it off--not even in my imagination! the sexy-fit person starts whispering sweet nothings in my ear, and my imaginary self starts giggling, ruins the mood, and the whole daydream comes to an abrupt end... oh well. ^_^ of course, there are exceptions to every rule... *^_^*

Yes it is sad, isn’t it? :cool: It’s almost as sad as objectifying and dehumanizing someone based upon their looks, which I think happens all the time (media does it, we do it to ourselves and each other). Not to say that there is anything wrong with being in love, or thinking you are in love, or admiring someone for their grace and talent, because sometimes those feelings of “hope” and appreciation are all someone has to keep them going in this world! All I’m saying, is I think it’s dangerous to spend all your time in your head, and not really living your life. Thanks for the response! :)

A lot of people have "types" which are a class of people who are more attractive to them than other people. And sometimes those types don't overlap with what society finds "classically beautiful".

 

So there's always a chance that you could be found attractive by an attractive person, even if you yourself aren't attractive.

Well it makes no sense that people would have a set level of "attractiveness" that they wouldn't go under.
