Oh my Dog, I was thinking the exact same thing when I watched that trailer.

 

It was so generic. Nothing we haven't seen before from Depp and Burton. This duo has definitely run its course. It's too bad Del Toro didn't direct this, because he would have done a fantastic job with the art design and casting.
