U2

^I prefer good assigned seating as opposed to GA. Do you know how freakish U2 fans are? You will have to sleep 3 nights outside the stadium and, even then, you will probably be half way back in the crowd with GA.

^ That's why I try to get seats, cause I am short anyway, even when there's seats on floor, I still have hard time seeing unless, it is front rows. But then again, CP Wembley, is the only GA Standing I have done, but camping out with the rest of the crazies! :D

^ well, I do plan to travel to see U2 on this tour, but I'm keeping it within the United States.

Is there any way I can just send you the Black Eyed Peas?

Can you please explain the appeal of songs like "My Humps" and "Let's Get Retarded?" I'm not judging...I'm all ears...

Let's get what??? :laugh3:

Words cannot explain such greatness, at least not any words I know. Just dance!

Please PM me the peas, I've just seen them once and I need more of their energy :D

lol well this is going to be my first time seeing U2 and from what I've heard, you really have to experience GA at least once. That's what I'll be doing - GA first night, seat second night. My goal is to get into the circle or claw, whatever they call it this tour. Then I can always say later on that I've been there and done that :D

Yeah, I have never seen them in GA, so I would like it to happen at least one time this tour. One good thing about non-GA is that you actually get to see the stage show, and I think this one is going to be impressive. The ellipse during the Vertigo tour and the heart during the Elevation tour were only visible from above. My friend, who somehow always manages to score GA, was not aware of the visual stage show (how the stage lights up) because he was in GA - I know, boo-hoo...GA every show ;)

Exactly. I know with GA I probably won't be able to take in everything as a whole since most likely I'll be a sardine in a can, so I actually look forward to seeing the concert seated as well. I can only imagine how awesome the stage and lights are going to look, and add to that seeing the jumping of the GA section as a whole (hoping Where The Streets Have No Name or on Elevation)! Gives me goosebumps lol

That's awesome. I have never had U2 tickets in my hand before a show. It always turns out to be a mad scrable on the day of. It's sure nice to know you're "in" for sure.

haha...You're my hero

Yes!

Got an e-mail that my tickets are printed. WOO

2,823 auction currently on Ebay alone. I expect some deals to be found on the secondary market once the whole "on-sale" frenzy dies down. I think there is a lot of speculation out there, especially considering the fact that U2 are playing multiple-night stadium gigs in some cities. Maybe the demand is there. We will see.

I had much difficulties to find one standing ticket as they were sold out after 3/4 hour on line. I was online as soon as they were released. It's just crazy. Now I found one yesterday evening, to my relief for the Paris II concert.

Justice to Remix U2

u2justichead.jpg

They've already put Franz Ferdinand, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and MGMT through their distorto-bounce filters. Now, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, a.k.a. Justice, are being called upon by none other than U2, according to a recent newsletter from Justice's label Ed Banger and confirmed by their publicist.

They'll remix "Get on Your Boots", the lead single off U2's recent No Line on the Horizon. While it'll take quite an overhaul to make the schizophrenic track work, we're curious to see what they come up with. That opening riff could become monstrous if compressed the right way. No release info just yet, but stay tuned.

Meanwhile, U2 are heading out on tour; Justice are standing around looking really cool somewhere.

Thank god...I still have a little more time then.

^^ GOOD LUCK BRIGGINS!

I just saw a little blurb on Link TV - all the hard work for debt relief for African nations went down the drain because 'Vultures' (debt buyers) got a hold of the foreign debts owed by many of these nations, and then turned around and sued these poorer countries for ungodly sums, and the 'Vultures' won on technicalities. What started as large debts owed became crushingly huge court settlements and findings. Greg Pallast included an introduction featuring Bono and the effort for debt relief, and the end result went the other way.. The President at the time (George Bush) could have stopped the lawsuits, and John Conyers and others approached him to do just that, but instead Bush did nothing. (think perhaps political payoffs & favors had anything to do with it?? Can anyone say Jack Abrahamoff jumped over a candle stick?;))

So, while Bono and everyone involved, especially all those who donated and called, did their very best, still the greedy beasts in politics and money did their damage.

This raises the important issue of Campaign Finance Reform - because it's those who pay for the elections/TV spots/news media who get their way all too often; it's up to us in the US and anywhere else this type of bribery is allowed to put an end to it. It can be done - England has a far better record of curtailing election abuses, and so do many other economically powerful nations. Bono, if you're ever on here reading this, help get to the core issue - the need for Fair Elections and Campaign Finance Reform here in the US - and don't let those bastards do this to us again!

I've found 2 tickets on Ebay for the same price as if i had bought it at a store. I've noticed prices are going down so i'm sure you can find now a normal price for tickets. There's no need to hurry when tickets are on Ebay as soon as tickets are released because people sell them pricy.

I get to join the circus tomorrow as I try to get tickets for Los Angeles. If I don't pull up GA, I am just going to wait. I will try to get my tickets on the secondary market. Plus, I have a feeling they will add another California date, but I am not sure whether it will be in San Francisco, San Diego, or another night in Los Angeles. We'll see...

Friday or Saturday?

saturday!
