I know, by whatever date who knows what we will get! I am waiting for Tampa to be announced...at least I can just drive an hour down the highway to see them!!! I will go by myself for this one and just enjoy! :D

hehe I actually just came on here to ask if you were able to get decent tix with the Boots presale. Good!

I got my GA tix for Giants Stadium in Sept. Now what to do for the next 6 months? lol

6 months is nothing!

it seems that I'll have to wait one year and 7 months to see them, and only if the rumors are true

I know they wouldn't bring such an awesome opening act as muse, but I can dream  last time the opening act was franz ferdinand so I wonder which band would they bring here this time

franz ferdinand, they are pretty good, I'm not that into their lastest album, but they are great!

I'm lost, who's the opening act in the places (US) where muse won't go? did they also announce that?

Hey AriesLady, we could meet up. I was planning on going by myself too since my siblings nor my friends are into U2. I need a partner in crime to get GA Pit tickets, and stand in line for hours :D

If not Muse, I really hope for Snow Patrol. I would die!:dead:

franz ferdinand, they are pretty good, I'm not that into their lastest album, but they are great!

Ive just got the tickets.... 10th August.... Woohooo.... U2 and Snow Patrol

Parc des Princes-Paris U2

After much difficulties, I've succeeded to get 2 seating tickets for the Paris concert on 12th of July. I need one Pelouse ticket that i couldn't get as they were sold out after 15 minutes according to the clerck that gave me the tickets in the afternoon. When one thinks people were lining up before FNAC store at 6 am waiting for the store to open at 10 am to buy Pelouse tickets. I ask the question : who can sell me a pelouse ticket for 12th of July in Parc des Princes-PARIS concert? There are three of us and i've got only 2 seating tickets and I need one Pelouse ticket. Thank's in advance.

just been having look at the 360.u2.com site. and by the looks of it even the biggest stadiums in the world are not big enough for U2. almost every show that has gone on sale has been sold out instantly despite the fact that the venues hold over 80 000 people and they are doing multiple nights there. this may well go down as the biggest tour in modern music history. not exactly on the back of a great album but most certainly on the back of an amazing career.

Or on the back of the secondary ticket market touts buying up the supplies :wink3:

I don't have a ticket, but some suggestions of sites to check out:

After the On-Sale Date

This is really, really important: Don't believe it when they say the show is sold out. They do that to create buzz and because it's good marketing. What they mean is that all of the tickets that were made available that day were sold. What they don't tell you is that not all of the available tickets were put on sale; many are held back for sale at a later date.

U2 has a history of holding back tickets as a way to thwart ticket scalping. They usually release tickets as the concert approaches, all the way up to the day of the concert. Also, tickets can re-enter the public sales system after radio stations, advertisers, sponsors, and other partners return their unused/unwanted tickets. Extra tickets might also become available a day or two before the show when the stage is installed and everyone realizes it didn't take up as much space as originally thought.

1.) Check Ticketmaster (as often as possible)

There are fans who will be checking every day, several times a day. They'll get the tickets if you're not doing the same, or at least checking as often as you possibly can. It's especially smart to check more often (i.e., every day, several times a day) in the last couple weeks before the show.

2.) Communicate & Monitor

Watch the mailing lists and message boards closely. Fans will often post alerts like, "Just found Miami tickets on sale. Good luck!" Make sure you're getting every e-mail as they happen, and not getting the once-a-day mailing lists digests. You'll miss a lot of news by being on the digest.

3.) Scout Secondary Ticket Sellers

Most tickets sold on the secondary market are much more expensive, but you may find the odd bargain. It's worth monitoring. In addition to brokers, eBay and Craigslist are sure to have ticket listings.

Important: If you buy from an unofficial source, make sure you are purchasing actual, hard-copy tickets -- don't buy "TicketFast" or any other print-at-home tickets. It's very easy for scammers to print more than one set of tickets and sell the same seats to several fans. If that happens, the first fan to show up and use the printed-at-home tickets will get in, and everyone else will be out of luck. Buying TicketFast tickets from someone you don't know is very, very risky.

4.) Look for VIP Packages

Many venues offer VIP/insider packages that include event tickets. You'll pay extra for the privilege of having drinks and hors d'oeuvres in a very not-rock-n-roll setting, but you'll have a ticket and you may also get a U2-themed gift/collectible.

5.) Listen for Radio Contests

It's a longshot, but many stations (and other media outlets) offer tickets as contest prizes. Some also offer ticket & travel packages, no contest required.

6.) Call/Visit the Box Office

In the last week before the show, call the box office a few times to see if they expect to have any last-minute tickets. On the day of the show, don't bother calling -- just go to the venue and get in line. Or go there and look for fans who may be selling extra tickets (because a friend got sick or missed a flight).

2. Join http://www.interference.com Its a big U2 forum and you can usually find people willing to sell or trade tickets on there.

3. This group on Facebook:

Hope that helps, and good luck!

There are only a couple of things that really excite me about the new U2 tour being in stadiums.

1. Tickets, due to the pure quantity, should be easier to obain and at a decent price on the secondary market. If I don't get GA in the general sale, I am just going to hold off.

2. It looks like the stage show is going to be amazing.

Besides that, I hate stadium shows.

I really want to go to this tour!!!....sadly i wont so make sure all of u take lots of videos!

I've never been to a stadium show so I'm excited.

Make sure you get good seats, or it will be like watching ants.

My seats are 20 rows up behind the stage. So I'm guessing it won't be too antlike. And luckily a big pillar won't be in my way either.

Golly, that pillar thing didn't even hit me before. :stunned: I hope that's not an issue for anyone here, and I'll certainly take that into consideration once they announce west coast show sales.

Good...I have spent many a night wishing I would have saved the ticket money and just listened to the show from the outside. It would have almost been the same experience...you hear me, Dodger and Angel Stadium?
