I get to join the circus tomorrow as I try to get tickets for Los Angeles. If I don't pull up GA, I am just going to wait. I will try to get my tickets on the secondary market. Plus, I have a feeling they will add another California date, but I am not sure whether it will be in San Francisco, San Diego, or another night in Los Angeles. We'll see...

The trend on this tour has been adding shows at the same venue.

Well, no luck on the general sale for Los Angeles. Not like I am surprised. I limited my ticket request to GA only. I am not worried, I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve :)

EDIT: Actually, there still are plenty of tickets for sale, as I am pulling them up left and right. I just don't want anything besides GA right now.

My friend who was supposed to coordinate ticket payment sort of dropped the ball, so even though I tried my luck just for fun this morning, we didn't buy any. The best I found was some lower seating (I'm not too obsessive about GA), but they're no doubt gone now. If we can't get anything decent off the scalpers, we may just try our luck and hope for a second L.A. date announcement.

^^ Thanks for the advice. I am not normally obsessed about GA, but I needed it this time for a number of reasons:

1) I finish graduate school in May and perhaps will need to move for my job. GA tickets are the easiest to sell or trade. I would then look to go to the show that is nearest to the city I am living in (if that happens to be the case).

2) GA is the best bang for the buck. $50 to be on the floor is not to bad.

3) I expect this to be a weak ticket market. A lot of people are buying tickets based on speculation. If they add a second night, I would expect ticket prices to go down. I usually buy tickets on the secondary market anyhow. I usually get them at 40-60% of face (and don't have to pay those ticket fees). It has been the only way I have been able to afford to go to all the shows I attend, as concerts are expensive. Perhaps ticket values will remain strong. That's always the chance you take...

So...I still haven't seen Linear yet. I don't really care about watching it; the thing that's still on my mind is how "Winter" sounds though. Recently, it came to my attention that it might be this:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSnJPkvMD_M]YouTube - CEDARS OF LEBANON[/ame]

If it is "Winter," then I will personally go down to Dublin and kick Bono in the nuts.

That video, a supposed preview of "Cedars of Lebanon," gave me the only sign of hope that NLOTH would be a decent album, weeks before the album was released. You should have seen my face when I eventually heard the official preview of it. If it wasn't for "Magnificent"...

Have you tried to find tickets for U2 on this site :

http://u2.interference.com/index.php

It's an international website about U2. I'm sure you'll find tickets you're searching.

Good luck!

Thanks. I scan interference all the time just to get U2 information. I never post on that board because, as a general rule, hardcore U2 fans drive me nuts.

How did today's onsales do in other parts of the U.S.? I have to say, I don't think they extraordinarily well in Los Angeles. You can still pull up most ticket levels with the exception of GA. Even as large as the Rose Bowl is, I still thought the entire thing would sell out by the end of the day. I now feel like a second night might not be added, or at least until the first night sells more tickets.

Vancouver Sold out in 15 minutes. GA, Lower Bowl and upper bowl.

That's what I thought would happen in Los Angeles, but it didn't.

I have my tickets for Paris on the 11 of July!!! The ticket are red and shiny on one side XD!!

And here a really interesting remix of 'Get on your boots' made by french electro band JUSTICE.

Weird but I kinda like it I think! So different from the original!

I'm seeing U2 in August in Poland! Yay!

YaY Monica! Something to really look forward to then! How well received are U2 in Poland, BTW?

I don't know what the deal is with our local radio station, KROQ. They are listening the concert as sold out, but I can pull up tickets all day long on Ticketmaster.

^ yeah , u2.com is saying they sold out 90,000 tix for the rose bowl..

Tickets for the October 23rd performance at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV go on sale Saturday, April 18th.

And tickets for the October 12th performance in Dallas, TX at New Cowboys Stadium, in Houston, TX on October 14th at Reliant Stadium and in Phoenix, AZ on October 20th at University of Phoenix Stadium will go on sale Monday, April 20th.

(If you're a U2.com subscriber presales will take place next week and we'll be emailing you the details in advance.)

With combined sales yesterday of over 450,000 tickets, in the month since it was announced, the upcoming tour has now surpassed 2.5 million ticket sales in Europe and North America.

In Los Angeles the Rose Bowl performance for October 25th sold out at 90,000 tickets - the fastest selling and the largest attended concert to play the Rose Bowl in history.

Last Monday, the first North American shows were put on sale and set the largest single day attendance records in New York (82,000 tickets sold), Boston (72,000 tickets sold) and Chicago (65,000 tickets sold). Yesterday continued the trend as a 2nd and final New York Giant Stadium performance (Sept. 25th) was an immediate sell-out bringing the total tickets sold at that venue to 164,000. In Washington sales surpassed 60,000 tickets in the first few hours while the 2nd Chicago concert (Sept 13th) sold an additional 60,000 tickets. Vancouver kept up the momentum with over 57,000 tickets sold. Along with the LA success, additional on-sales in Atlanta, Tampa and the second Boston performance brought yesterday's ticket sales to over 450,000.

2.5 million!!!

thats from one leg in europe and one in north america!! they still another tour in each of those continents, plus dates around Asia, Australia and South America!!

wouldnt be surprised to see that number grow to around 6 or 7 million.

So then the best way to see the concert is to get a job as a stage hand, operating the lights??

If ticketmaster is selling them try in a few days..well I don't know how the US TM works but I bought GA for the second show in London yesterday after trying the day they went on sale without success :)

I don't get it. I went on line and was able to pull up 29 tickets (the maximum) together. What constitutes sold old? My definition is "no more tickets available for purchase." And no, I did not purchase the 29 tickets :)

^ahahah

You should have bought 29 tixs for kixs.
