Look, I'll cut the shit. I like a few Radiohead songs. I have Kid A(present i may add), and ive heard 'Ok Computer'. I do like a few songs but my main gripe with them is......

 

They are sooooooooo over-rated. Being honest, I have nothing against Radiohead fans, i have nothing against Thom Yorke, and I dont find the music overall offensive.(I just love pissing off RH fans...its very easy!)

 

What i am sick to death of is though, opening my copy of Q, to see 3 Radiohead albums in the top 10 of all time! I mean please tell me that even the biggest Radiohead fan would admit that's ridiculous! This sort of shit...must.....BE STOPPED!

Nope, I'm saying in terms of a world scale, people should at least know 5 songs. I mean go out to some far off place and ask them to name 10 beatles songs on the spot, they will have trouble. Of course the real fans will know a lot more, but to even be considered as the biggest band on the planet at the moment, thay should have at least 5 hugely recognisable ones.

 

And fine Lera, perhaps, perhaps Creep would be known. Maybe even Karma Police(It's spelt with a K btw!), but 2 is not enough. I do believe that Coldplay suffer with the same problem.

What about Coldplay-they're really overrated today. But RH are not, they deserve it. And, btw, who said that if you can't recognise 5 songs by RH(Why 5? Why not 6?) then nobody can? The band can be great without your aprecciation.

I love both Stipe and Bono. But I love Bono more, because I know more about him. And he's my hero. And I respect everything he does (yes, including 'The Sweetest Thing', which I admit is a sappy load of crap, but that's what the guy's intended. Quite throwaway and popish, but that's what they were going for in the late 90's).

 

I'm not huge enough of a REM fan to know as much about Stipe as I do about Bono. Maybe I'm just an obsessive fan, which I am. But I get a little prickly when people compare B-man to anybody, since no one compares to him to me. No one's done exactly the same things, no one ever will. Therefore, there's no one similiar to him. Therefore, direct comparisons are fruitless.
