badlydrawngirl
Everyone in this thread should own/listen to 'The Holy Bible'. Richey was (or is??) an amazing lyricist. I never bought the last album they did, any good?
Black Rose
Send away the tigers is a good album, I would suggest getting it Charlie.
badlydrawngirl
I have heard some tracks from it and I did like them, but I am definitely more a fan of their older stuff. :) However, I will check out Send Away The Tigers, just as it's Manics! StephenG
his family have confirmed his status as 'presumed dead' The man loved his family and his band, he wouldn't just dissapear. I do think his death may have been accidental, he always said he never contemplated suicide.

StephenG
dam the holy bible is something very special. So angry, so grim, so final. Capital punishment, Abortion, Racism, Anorexia and the Holocaust... not found on most albums.

Good to hear that there are lots of people checking out their different records. I love all their albums so recommend them all! Their B-sides are absolute gems as well! lol the intrest here is minimal at best. More people need to sit down and listen to them really. So you think This is my truth is their best album then? I'm more inclined to Everything must go or Generation terrorists
The Gutless Wonder
I discovered them with This Is My Truth so it will always have a special place in my heart. I love them all though! Noticed on a lot of forums people calling them boring/bland etc, especially the newer stuff and that is so not true! Anyone who has't checked them out yet please do! You won't regret it! StephenG
I've only got the albums that were considered classics so far (ie the Holy Bible, Generation Terrorists, Everything must go and This is my truth. Their all outstanding in different ways. Perhaps morso than some Coldplay albums. I think the problem people have with them is the same with U2 and such, people don't like politics and music to collapse.

Release date for new album around May, hopefully won't have to wait too long for a proper date. The Gutless Wonder
Manics are playing T In The Park, headlining alongside Glasvegas on the King Tut Stage. They must have decided to lift that ban on them then for Nicky swearing the last time they headlined!
