viva la vida
I really like their sound. I found out for their music about 6 years ago when I was teenage girl, and really liked Jim Morrison's lyrics and poet. For my 22th birthday I got triple dvd collection :)
Death Hill
"Light my Fire" is one of my favorite songs ever. I'm currently getting into their self-titled album at the moment.
Darlene_Ihnfsa
Listened 3 albums in two days: Strange Days, i loved it. The Soft Parade, not as good as the other one, yet i liked it. The Doors, amazing. :D

djibou
^Me too. I actually went on his grave in Paris this summer and listened to my fav poem of his, The Movie, right in front of it. It was such a... special feeling. There was this guy next to me, haha, he lighted a joint of pot and threw it on the tomb, saying 'there ya go, buddy' and lighting a joint for himself :P

playeru
I know well their classic songs, but I never tried the studio albums. How does the discography stand together, should I stick to the greatest hits?
the_gloaming09
I think that you should check out their albums because they're good. But if it's your first time I guess you can't really go wrong w/ a greatest hits
Gitta Rensolo
yes go with a greatest hits....to recommend you my favourite albums for the beginning: either "The Doors" (their first album, contents "Light my fire", "Break on through", "The end") or "Strange Days" (contents, "People are strange", "Moonlight drive" and "When the music's over")...the other albums are great as well....just don't start with " The Soft Parade" since it's not a typical Doors album imo... the_gloaming09
their first album would be the best to start w/ if you are going for original albums. morrison hotel is also really good
