Sometimes a song about nothing is better than a song about something.

what a bunch of douche's chris voice is really good!

Not about his voice mate, it`s about his lryics, which, to be fair, are mostly simplistic.

Did we really expect them to praise Chris though? Some of those ATeasers are so sad. They're live in fear that Coldplay will somehow "de-throne" Radiohead so they bash Coldplay every chance they get!

Paaaaathetic!

why cant people just accept that coldplay and radiohead are different bloody bands! even if coldplay do nick stuff from them sometimes! geeez.

i love them both

I like both Coldplay and Radiohead (my sig is in fact from a Radiohead song) but I really don't understand the comparisons. In fact, the comparisons are based on rather pathetic similarities....Well, since they are both British and have a frontman that can sing high notes, they MUST have similar music

Will Coldplay ever write a "Just" or "Pyramid Song"? Will Radiohead ever write a "Green Eyes" or "Shiver"? STOP COMPARING THEM.

It seems like they are just stupid people who have no sense of music... :dozey:

Pfffff. They forgot Dieter Bohlen. If they could hear him....Germans know what I mean!!!! ;)

I do. :embarrased:

Caveat: Radiohead is one of my fav bands.

That being said, most Radiohead fans are pretentious little automatons; liking Radiohead for the sake of liking Radiohead is cool. I think that I think, therefore I think that I am. They should all die, except for me and all of the RH fans in the CP forum.

Short comparison:

RH - "To the shadows blue and red/To the shadows blue and red/Your alarm bells/Your alarm bells/To the shadows blue and red/To the shadows blue and red/Your alarm bells/Your alarm bells. "

CP - "Stuck on the end of this ball and chain and I’m on my way back down/Stood on a bridge, tied to the noose/Sick to the stomach/You can say what you mean/But it won’t change a thing I’m sick of the secrets/Stood on the edge, tied to a noose/You came along and you cut me loose."

RH - "You want me, well fucking well come and find me/I'll be waiting with a gun and a pack of sandwiches."

CP - "When you thought it was over/You could feel it all around/Everybody’s out to get you/Don’t you let it drag you down/Cos if you eve feel neglected/If you think that all is lost/I’ll be counting all the demons, hoping everything's not lost."

RH - "There are barn doors/And there are revolving doors/Doors in the rudders of big ships/And there are revolving doors/There are doors that open by themselves/There are sliding doors/And there are secret doors/There are doors that lock/And doors that don't/There are doors that let you in and out but never open/And there are trapdoors that you can't come back from."

CP - "Darling, those tired eyes/Go with me all the time.

And in the dead of night/Tell me you will be mine/Where do you go to, pretty baby/Where do you go to, when the night wins away/Ask me so sweetly, what do I do/Who do I sing for/Well honey I sing about you..

This completes our comparison, but as a final jab I'd like to say that RH fans are intellectually dishonest. I mean, c'mon:

Oasis - " I've been driving in my car with my friend Mr. Soft/Mr. Clean and Mr.Ben are living in my loft."

They forgot Max Martin. ;)

This is just....

comparing them is ridiculous*

but what did you expect from radiohead?
