dvdfreak
i went to an advanced screening for that movie wedding crashers on tuesday night and i heard a coldplay song i never heard before, and i pretty much heard them all. i checked the track listing for the soundtrack and there is no listing for a coldplay song,so i was wondering if anybody knows anything about this song, all i can tell you that it sounded like a slow ballad, and it was pretty nice. Mimixxx
Hmm I've just looked at the soundtrack and there's definitely no Coldplay on there, could just be someone who sounds like them :idea2: I'm going to see it this weekend anyway so I'll listen out :)

Black Rose
Saw Wedding Crashers today (see review in off-topic) and there was a song that sounded very much Coldplay. It might not have been coldplay, but it sounded a lot like then with a slow ballad. Need to get the soundtrack, need to get soundtrack. Dave (edit - ordered soundtrack, some good tunes on there)

Steve_Toyne
I havent seen it, but dont go by the soundtrack. Not all songs in the film will be on the soundtrack. I cant se why coldplay would have a new song on a film though.

seventeen seconds
My brother saw the film and said it was Sparks that was played. Yep, that's right. "Sparks" was played somewhere in the middle of the movie.
joeychizzel
all you guys beat me to the bunch, i was wondering if it was a coldplay song cuz the whole time the song was playing in the middle (when owen wilson and rache mcadams was spending time together) i kept thinking: coldplay? dave matthews band? counting crows? the soundtrack don't have it, and that was fustrating. does anybody know the title of this song by sparks? eventhough it's not coldplay, it's a pretty good song, hehe. StephBerryman
but I remember coldplay said that they would not let their songs to be a movie soundtrack  they never said that...most of the time, they don't even know their song is in a movie or t.v unless they watch it or someone tells them. wjw26
Yes, it's "Sparks" -- that's a Coldplay song, not a group! Track 4 on Parachutes, people!!!! What a pleasant surprise when it came on. And it was perfect for what was going on in the movie. I can't believe it's not on the soundtrack - that's shocking.
