Yeah it is, but one of the good things about that song is that the lyrics are good. Eventhough they might be simple, they can still bring the message across and reach your soul. That's why I quite like it.

And sometimes less is more after all. :)

I never liked A Whisper...

I like most of Coldplay's songs but "A Whisper" is surprisingly substanceless for them.

Green Eyes... I skip it everytime I can, don't ask me why... it never grew on me :/

Green Eyes.... it's the only one I skip on AROBTTH. Swallowed in the Sea too, although I'm starting to like this one a little bit more.

songs that dont do anything for me, A whisper, High Speed, We Never Change, Spies, Sparks..Twisted Logic is prolly better than all the previous I mentioned but I still skip it

dude we never change and sparks are incredible - i don't think i'll ever listen to twisted logic all the way through ever again. well maybe once, to remind myself of how much it blows.

A whisper is def the worst song. It is very repetitive and get very annoying after a while. Its on an amazing album though.

For all you fans who like hardcore Coldplay, lemme tell you this straight up. There is a REASON why Green Eyes and A Whisper were put on A Rush Of Blood To The Head. To give it VARIETY.

 

My least favourite Coldplay song is Swallowed In The Sea. You know why? Because it's one of the main reasons why I don't like X&Y as much as I would have. Coldplay made a hell of a great album. Only problem? They made a few mistakes. Mistake #1: even making SPEED OF SOUND in the first place, let alone making it the first single after three years of hearing CLOCKS on the radio. Mistake #2: Making Fix You the second single off the album. This was supposed to be the grand finale. The next Clocks. Intead it's become an absolute bust. (Debuting at number four on the singles charts? Come on, this is Coldplay we're talking about!). At the very least, as the Cokemachineglow review nicely points out, it should have been saved for the holidays. Great music. Bad decision-making. And finally, mistake #3: Swallowed In The Sea. It sounds so much like Fix You, only less touching and way shittier lyrics. Some variety, huh?

 

I love Coldplay, and if you don't want to try and listen to their more experimental music, how can you say they're not putting any effort doing so? You're the one who should do a bit more exploring on their CDs, and then you'll learn to love them a bit more.

Least favourite Coldplay song is a nasty question to try and answer but I think at the moment it is The Hardest Part. For some reason it just doesn't do it for me and I invariably skip it on X&Y. For a time it was In My Place because I heard it so damn often! But like many people I think 1.36 was a mistake! My love for certain songs changes so often but I never really hate or strongly dislike any of their songs. For example if someone said "Ooh listen to this Coldplay song I found called 1.36" I wouldn't tell them "NO" because Coldplay is still Coldplay!

Eh, I don't really like Speed of Sound. I skip it all the time.

 

I'm not really a fan of 'A Whisper' either. X&Y the track is also a bit on the disliked side.

 

I like the lyrics "I'm diving at the deepend--you've become my best friend. I wanna love you but I don't know if I can..." though...

 

Green Eyes is one of my favs! It's fun to sing along to. :D And it's also fun to play along to. :D

Im shocked at so many people disliking SOS! It's one of my favorites ever! My least favorites are definatly Green Eyes, Easy to Please and We Never Change.

Iono, Speed of Sound justs sound so... meh...
