He inspired many of Thomas Jefferson's ideas in the Declaration of Independence. And going back to the first poster, I don't think there's a HUGE connection between the Locke of the show and the Locke of real life. However, one of the episodes in Season 1 was titled "Tabula Rasa," which is one of Locke's (the real one!) ideas. Tabula Rasa is the state of mind before it recieves impressions from experience. Definitely something interesting to think about! And last night episode was amazing...I wish I could talk about it more, but I don't want to spoil anything for our overseas friends. :) Although, I must say, next week's looks even better! I noticed something too that Abrams uses is the black and white. There were the black and white rocks that were found with those two dead corpses - Adam and Eve they named them; when Claire has those dreams and she sees Locke who is looking at these cards, one eye is white the other is black!
