I don't know why I dislike them so much. And I have given a listen (I mean, who hasn't? They're everywhere!)

 

They just annoy me...

 

And that music video they have, 'When September Ends' or something--that gets on my nerves...

Yeah, I agree. For some reason, they way the singer sings is just so annoyin'. My first reaction's to reach for the remote and get them out of my face!

Sometimes it does they play it to much!

the song- i don't know what its called "i hope you had the time of your life" that IMO is their best :D

 

but i suppose when they've been around for so long they can get on peoples nerves :D

Green Day aren't that bad. I'm sure the video will look better when its put together with the rest of the album. My sister was telling me that the videos for the songs on this album are all going to link together so when you get the DVd it'll be like one long story.

I dont think its the artists songs---but the radio, media, and everything that puts them in our faces all the time

 

There are lots of good music that its killed because people play it alot and kill the songs

I couldn't agree with you more! We have a radio station here that everybody listens to, because they play all the newest hits and stuff... There is just one problem... When a song becomes popular, they play it over and over again! That radio station has killed lots of songs that used to be my favorites :(

i agree, green day is good(not the best, but good)...and its true, the songs by this band are way overplayed...reason why they make sick!

Yeah, they're over played... but it's not that they're played over and over that annoys me.

bah, i love green day, i used to listen to them when i was 14 along with the offspring but hey those were the days, i still remember all the fuss about dookie ..hmm random comment but still.

 

They're pretty good and there are other albums besides american idiot you know, they just got all the spotlight again after 11 years but they deserve it and for the record,they have a plus in my books for dissing avril lavigne :kiss:

when something is overplayed or given too much spotlight by the media, etc it is inevitably going to suffer a backlash and take away from their past success, and like you said sienna it makes people forget that their previous albums and long career prior to this even existed. It's because they're songs are overplayed on the radio - every time you switch music channels, it is playing one of their film clips, and at the awards they are nominated for practically every category (minus the rap ones :lol: ) and they also manage to win all of them - this creates the backlash and kills all their songs because every two seconds of the day you hear their stuff

Its called 'Good Riddance (Time of your life)', its a great song, I agree.

American Idiot and Boulivard of Broken Dreams were both good songs....But then they were played, And played, And played some more!!!! It ruined 2 good songs

Luckily, When I saw them live a few months back, They made me forget how bored of the songs I was

Oh and as for the "People thinking American Idiot is there only Album" One of the reasons is that Shenanighans was a B-Side/Outtakes album, So it wouldn't of been heavily Advertised (Kinda like Steal This Album! By System of a Down)

IMO, Insomniac was there best, Dookie is a fine album but theres something about Insomniac that makes me love them more

I loooooooove Greenday---i am one of the people that if i like an artist--no matter how much i hear them, i wont get tired of them

That happens with Coldplay, Greenday, Nodoubt, Linkin Park

I listen to them ALL the time and i dont get tired of them :P

Their latest video is not very good. The acting in it makes me cringe.

That's the only single from American Idiot that I actually like even though it was very overplayed.
