coldplay has only made 3 albums...paul mcartney and the beatles have made dozens. coldplay is way too early in their career and chris probs wouldn't want to get knighted anyway

I think chris would agree to be knighted, its not like its something political, its being bestoed a huge honor by your country.

my cousin was made a lord last year...i'm from the US and am not familiar with these types of appointments...i know he is an extremely successful bussinessman in switzerland and the United Kingdom and is very good friends with the royal family...but what do people usually have to do to be made a lord?

Sorry for bringing up an old post but with another year past with the queens honours and new ones just came out I wondered to myself why Coldplay haven't been awarded anything yet and googled to see if anything came up about maybe they not wanting anything but couldn't really see anything so not sure what people think or if it has been discussed before. Couldn't find anything much relating to this

I'm not sure but somehow I have this feeling it could happen soon. After almost two decades of fame and all these albums. I wonder if he still wouldn't want to nowadays?

Yeah I just started primary school... Time's pretty crazy. Yeah but I have the same feeling, if he was to be knighted you would think around now would be the time, it would happen.

You know I have a feeling that Coldplay stay away from the royal family in general. The only events they ever participated are for prince Harry's charities. Never performed in that loyal something or other performance that happens regularly with big name performers. Think it has to be intentional and have a feeling that they will not be. The fact that they haven't had one of the lesser titles like Adele, Ed Sheeran might be a hint too.

yea this was kinda my feelings too, pretty sure they would have had at least something by now, considering some of the people that do have them already
