Wait, what it called anways? haha. Aww I kind of wish I had been at the barrier now. But I'm sure my backside would be heavily bruised. The new songs sounded really good live. *hums some Florescent Adolescent*

My hands are kinda bruised up.. I don't know why..

But Marisa, you were soooooo funny when they came out.. you should have studied to be a newscaster, you sounded like you were doing an interview, like you should have held a microphone out "Alex, Tell us, what did you think of Coachella?"

I was laughing.. It was so funny.

 haha. Sorry, I just could tell he was having a little trouble concentrating....ahem. But I've screwed up one meeting of a band before and didn't want to do it this time! Plus I was interested in what they all had to say. haha. And I'm sure they appreciate some sort of conversation other than, " OMG YOU ARE HOT" :)

Were girls saying that?

:laugh4:

I the only thing I said to Nick was "Good show" and something about everyone needing to calm down because they were just humans, and he laughed and then posed..how hypocritical..:laugh4:

He was so sweet.

I don't remember saying anything to Alex but Hello and good show.. he seemed really timid.

So cute.:nice:

Awesome pics, guys! :D

Ok, is that Mooch guy pretending to be a poster child for stupid Americans, or is he just one naturally. :dozey: I'm guessing both.

omg. your pics are awesome! :)

Nick smelled like beer and sweat?

myam... hehehe.

  • 2 weeks later...

So I was at the Orlando gig(last one in America) Loved it. Crowd was insane(we had drunken Hooligans in kilts, yup, they kept moshing and singing football anthems lmfao) and I come to terms that there were more brits ans scotts than americans there, lmfao. :smug: I'm in pain, I have 2 bruises on my back:sick2:. Haha, but it was worth it. I started like at 5th row in between Nick and Alex, 3 songs later I was right in front of Alex against the railing, and ended still front row between Alex and Jamie :wideeyed:

I couldnt take pics because that venue was really gay:angry:, they everything they could so you wouldnt take a camera. I was suprised because everyone knew the songs, they didnt play "505", "Mardy Bum" or "Only ones who know", but whatev it was awsome anyway :D :D

We also didnt have encores cause that psycho girl from Be Your Own Pet(she told us to fuck off! and sang a song that said that too :uhoh:) pounced Alex to the ground and practically molested him in front of the whole audience :stunned: So he surrendered and took her backstage. The rest is only to the imagination...it could have been good or bad. He a "WTF?" plastered on his face. He blushed, a lot. But he got rather disgusted also...:shifty:

The rest were laughing hysterically, but also confused, so the gig ended without Alex.

Here are some pics someone took at the forum: http://www.arcticmonkeys.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27252&start=30 *Scroll down*

bet the gig was awesome :nice:

but what a bummer that they didn't play "Only Ones Who Know" or "505" (would've been amazing to see Al on the keyboard :dozey:)

whatsoever... that "Be Your Own Pet" chick is horrible. Jemina something...? dunno...

she clearly digs our man Al

and i've heard she's got a boyfriend... arrrr, stupid bitch. i mean, you guys paid money to see them and she obviously got in the way of any encores.

and now all together...

WHORE!!!

stop being a bunch of weepy fangirls, arctic monkeys never do encores.

and jemina? i'd hit that.

Weepy Fangirls, oh you :laugh3: I know they dont, but I hope they start for a nice bright change

Grace, Im with you, Jemina is fucking insane, its a free country....yeah I think she's a whore :smug: She digs our man :D

yeah, i find it a bit rude.

it was their last gig in america and alex didn't even return on stage to say thank you and stuff... :dozey: ?

Yeah, you understand what I mean. Blah, whatever it was a great gig:dance:, and I have the bruises to prove it :sick2:

they didnt do any encores last year because there was just one album.but now i think they can.

no, they've had enough songs to play encores, they don't do it because they think it's pretentious.

Really? Why do they think that? Encores are a treat to the audience. Boo for that. They should do it anyway.

But my thoughts on the public display of affection that had Alex on the stage floor........... you go girl. Hey, you only live once! :laugh3:

they think it's fucked up to make the audience clap and wait and all that. i think they'd just rather play a great show and leave it at that, which is just awesome with me.

Favourite Worst Nightmare

Artist: ARCTIC MONKEYS

(Domino/EQ)

Reviewer: HARI RAJ

JUST about a year ago, I asked how the Arctic Monkeys would handle their next album – would they transcend their influences, a la U2, or struggle with the accolades afforded them by the British press in the tradition of Coldplay?

The answer lies somewhere between the two poles. Favourite Worst Nightmare finds the Monkeys more than willing to experiment, often to great effect, but too often the songs here buckle under the weight of ambition. It’s by no means a bad album, nor one that is unsure of itself, but a willingness to try everything means the absence of anything vaguely resembling direction.

This scattershot approach does, however, eliminate a large part of the samey standpoint espoused by the bulk of the lyrics on their first album. It’s not just a bunch of kids dealing with newfound fame while clinging on to the dregs of their old lives – songs like Fluorescent Adolescent brim with the Monkeys’ trademark wit, while proving that they are comfortable in the skins of a wider cast of characters.

They may not know where they’re going, but by throwing convention to the wind, the Monkeys are on a journey that may prove more enthralling than their eventual destination.

I read on the paper they'll be doing a Southamerican tour round October. Ha, I'm happy

^ :laugh1:

I'm so in love with 'em! Their new album is AMAZING, I reckon the lyrics are even better than the ones from the first one, you can appreciate they're more mature (well, that's my idea)!

Anyway, I have talked to several people about FWN and they think it's not that great than Whatever people say I am... Weird, weird.

And... I'm totally obsessed with 505. I guess you all have already watched this video but just in case: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWHkR4O8cyc&e
