I've heard White Shadows on the radio a few tmes. It could be that. It's upbeat, but I still say Swallowed in the Sea. A crisp blue cover. :kiss:

I wouldnt like to see S1 as a single, it doesnt cut it for me (as an album track it's pleasant enough - but IMHO it wouldnt hit it off chart wise).

 

What If is a bit too much like 'fix you' (if you know what I mean) - so that would be a bad choice for a single imho.

the cd cases I have to SOS & FY are kinda cardboard - but the cd case for Talk is a normal jewel case... is there a "cardboard" case for Talk?

Been very pleased with this albums single choices so far, so don't break that guys ;)

If it's not White Shadows I'll have issues! :lol: However, I heard The Hardest Part whilst doing my shopping in Boots the other day, which surprised me, and Square One is being used on Match of the Day (a UK football programme) at the moment, so they could be in contention maybe just because people will have heard them and will buy them, though if I was going to release Square One, I'd have done it was the first single. Like I think Chris said, with a title like that, there's only one place you can put it!

That's the same for me. For all the non-Coldplay fans I know, WS is their favorite song. When I first heard the album, White Shadows AMAZED me. It is getting alot of airplay (for a non-single) in both the UK and US. And as I said before, it is the only song (besides SOS, FY, Talk, TKC and S1...which are either singles, or "special" album tracks. TKC for the whole Johnny Cash thing and S1 cos of the opener like Politik) that's performed at EVERY show on tour. It's almost insane to think that they'd release The Hardest Part or A Message as single #4...if they wanted What It, it would be performed alot more, and the other contender, Low, is barely in the set anymore. Swallowed In The Sea is probably their only other option...but I still think they shouldn't release 2 ballads from the same album. They never have.

 

It WILL be White Shadows...I will bet any amount of money.

White Shadows is the song that made me fall in love with Jonny...to the point where I could NOT be swayed

I think that it will be WHITE SHADOWS. I saw the guys playing that song in some shows.

 

By the way is Guy´s favourite song of the Album.Here is what Jonny say about this:

whoa...I have to listen to that song again and hear the bassline. To be honest, I don't always notice the bass

Greatest baseline they've EVER done. Also, one of the best guitarlines, drum parts and lyrics. My FAVORITE part of the song is the "permenant state" harmony.

 

Completely brilliant song.
