ok, this is kinda random but have you ever had this feeling like when you listen a song or see something you havent seen in years and then bang a flash though your head with pictures and memories of the very first time you heard or saw that thing haha this sounds confusing but for example, i was listening bitter sweet symphony by the verve today and somehow i saw myself back in 98' with some friends i havent seen in years and times back in high school and i swear for a sec i was there immersed in that memory and i just couldnt believe how a song can make you feel that way or last night when i saw a pic of a summer trip some years ago on the beach with some friends and i swear i almost smell the sea when i closed my eyes for like 1 sec haha

i don't know as "being back in the moment", but i songs do remind me of certain things, and i get de ja vous (?) all the time... but it's not the same...

cause with a de ja vou it just FEELS like you've been there before, but i don't believe u really have, it's just a weird feeling

I have this annoying thing, that sometimes, in some weird situations, I really feel I've SEEN the situation before... I'd always like to stop to that moment because it lasts for only a second or even less...

 

Also some words, music etc make me remember (usually already forgotten) things...

Holy molly! me too!! i mean, its like i saw the future somehow but the feeling last just 1 or 2 secs but its like a flash during a random situation like you dreamt with that place before or something like that..its kinda creepy :stunned:

whenever i hear the song "talk,talk,talk" by the ordinary boys,i think of when i was on holiday with my friends,brings back some fun memories.

aww ren i love your intellectual threads...sometimes songs remind me of people...not even because they like the song, but just that i hear a song and i think oh yeah ren! you know? you dont know :disappointed:

Usually the oddest songs remind me of people. 'Naughty Girl' by Holly Valance :stunned: That song, does something to me. Thank God they stopped playing it on the radio.

 

Music that I'm really into usually doesnt bring back memories, because its like "Yeah I've heard this song a million times and I know it inside out... its devoid of such value"

loadsa U2 songs remind me of that bloke at school ... he is such a freakin idiot ... but i still love U2 :D

sometimes they remind me of things but i dont remember what... and try to remember what it was but i cant... :(

I get that quite a lot aswell. It's not only with songs but if I like hear something in a film that someone has said to me before it'll trigger these memories in my head that I wouldn't remember otherwise. It's so strange and sometimes they're like memories from times when I'd be drunk or something and wouldn't have even remembered the next day but it would just come flooding back to me :thinking:

 

It's nice when you get them from significant songs that remind you of fun or happy times from childhood and such :blush:

yeah,like muse and radiohead remind me good moment the same way sigur rós and travis remind me bad moments but that's how it is

it happens a lot...the weirdest one happens when i listen to britney spears's 'baby one more time'....I get flashes of me taping the video from mtv (i was 9,don't judge) when the song was a huge hit :/

haha i still remember when i saw that vid for the very first time, i never ever thought she'd go anywhere with that song but time proved me wrong :stunned:

I was watching a music channel the other day and 'my humps' by the Black Eyed Peas came on. i just sat down laughing because it reminded me of the time when i was at my school semi formal on the dancefloor. and everyone was dirty dancing with everyone!! it was so much fun :D

I get Deja Vu quite a bit as well, sometimes i get this feeling like ive seen it or heard it before but i dont quite know where, or i can almost say what is going to happen next in the scenario.

it's funny if you just look around you, no matter where you are, and you can almost always link up something with a memory from the good or badtimes. strange i say :)

 

or if you remember someone, its not always their face you remember, its like you remember them because of a hairstyle, shoes, ugly t-shirt. lol
