December 15, 200916 yr i've tried pot, felt it once and didn't really like it. to me it was (i know this may sound like a high thinking but whatever) like have u ever got when u realize that you're alive, and it's kinda a weird/freaky moment, well that's what it was like for me but for a while, which i din't like i do like to drink sometimes and get a buzz...haha... it feels good and relaxing. In terms of legalization I don't have a problem with it. I mean you can't OD from it, so in that regard it's harmless, but of course it impairs your thinking/judgment, so of course it's not smart to drive or whatever. Especially with the US economy doing bad, it'd probably help. I'm sure a lot of people would be happy about this...haha.
December 15, 200916 yr I have done drugs in my past. they should be legal. people should have the ultimate decision about whether or not they want to try drugs. Countries with drugs that are decriminalized have lower drug use in their population.

Whats weird is that I find it scary, but in a good way, like I suddenly realise that I am in reality, Im making decisions, saying things that change everything, and it feels real, its very easy to forget that when you go around life without taking chances. Most people who feel like this dont want to try drugs again. I think most of the time we're all switched off to the fact that we're in a reality and everything we do is soon to be a memory.

I think also another problem is that I did not know what to expect so when it happened I think it may have scared me. thinking about it now, I might want to try again, just to see if it's the same. but honestly after trying pot, it made me realize that there's no way in hell i could ever do anything more than that in terms of drugs....haha

December 15, 200916 yr Author Haha I think you probably still wont like the feeling if you tried it again, just from knowing people who didnt like it the first time, they never ended up liking it. Some people just dont like the feeling of not having complete control of their brain. For some reason being drunk doesnt feel like that, which is weird. Ive always wondered why that is.

December 16, 200916 yr I kind of used to be one:disappointed: Used to be? It's never too late to go back! My hippieish friends just got a Mercedes because no one would expect him to drive one.

Ive always wondered why that is.Personal theory, alcohol subtracts, drugs change. If you can still put an equation into your mental computer and feel like it's you doing it, you don't care so much if the output is skewed. I think with any kind of mind altering thing you can actually tell that the person coming up with the data and equations isn't really what you identify in your head as 'you'. Urgh... I hate that feeling. Even to the tiny extent I got it on Ritalin and other ADD crap. But then I don't need anything...I don't even generally like alcohol. Who needs all that stuff when you have a frighteningly surreal imagination and have been having frequent existential crises since the age of 3?
December 16, 200916 yr Author I can see what you mean but drugs such as vicodin feel similar to being drunk, but for some reason it feels like a change, like you described. The psychological thing about alcahol is that you gradually get drunk by drinking, you can see the volume thats going into your system (Even if its spirits), and therefore you feel more safe and at ease then putting some pills down your throat and not really knowing whats going to happen (Even if you've done it before). With alcahol you don't focus on your mind, the drug sets in. With taking drugs you monitor how youre thinking and why you're thinking it, waiting for a certain feeling to kick in. I think that if alcahol subtracts, thats still a change, its a downer drug like many others.

December 16, 200916 yr Author Exactly. Im sure people who have been way too drunk have felt scared over how their minds are working, when things are spinning and nothing makes sense. The thing is, we never remember it or have very vague memories of it happening. Drugs are different, being overly drunk means you arent thinking and nothing makes sense, with drugs you are still thinking while nothing makes sense.
December 16, 200916 yr Never did drugs, so can't say ^^ I love the feeling you have when you start to be tispsy hehe
December 16, 200916 yr Author Never did drugs, so can't say ^^ I love the feeling you have when you start to be tispsy hehe I like the feeling of being tipsy like nicely drunk over an entire night out. Its a hard balance not to get drunk but be tipsy like all night.
December 17, 200916 yr Being really drunk can be fun too... but I saw extreme cases that I hope I will never reach !
December 17, 200916 yr i haven't ever done drugs, but i don't think i never will. I haven't ever been drunk either, simply because i decide i'll be over age when i drink after i saw what happened at our school disco a couple of years ago. the average age of gang there was about 14, they snuck in drink. there's was several stomach pumpings, arrests and one girl found naked waist down outside the shop. fucking disgrace really.

Such stories are sad indeed... As long as you're with friends you can rely on and that you don't go too far, should be fine ! Anyway you the decision is yours, it's stupid to start drinking just to seem cool or do the same than others :nice: I'm too young to drink. But... you're 19 ! Oh wait you live in the US :D
