Well people...i don´t see the best of as a bad thing! It´s just a way to sell records for those ones that never bought a Coldplay CD. Meanwhile we will get entertained with the 2 or 3 new songs. I just can´t imagine what would be of my life without any CP release for the next 3 years! THAT WOULD BE TERRIBLE!

best of to me sounds like the end like somethings over and yeah..i dont know thats just me

I hate best of albums. Not because it implies that it's over or something. If I love a band's all songs then I don't need a bestof. I like the idea only if I'm into just some of their songs. Then it's a good collection. But listening to the songs that are on telly and hyped to death anyway just bores and annoys me. But that's probably just me ;)

I'm very excited about the new album. I hope their break won't be

i know C,J,G,W aint been in spotlight and media that much recently, but it seems like they haven;t stoped working at all since X&Y was released, i hope they aren't knackered lol.

 

i really appreciate the Best of Blur album because it introduced me to one of the best bands ever in my opinion, so in that sense they rock. also it'd be also having a best of coldplay album cos i reckon every song they write is amazing lol. how can square one not be on it!

I do remember Jonny saying that they haven't done anything really other than experiment and such. Even if the lyrics are written...they still have to compose the melodies.

i think that the break and the length of that means some more great new songs to remember and for pleasure..

yeah, honestly, Coldplay coming out with two albums in two years would be kinda overkill for me. I love the anticipation. That's one of the best parts of being a fanatic. And it's all the more rewarding once it comes out and it's AWESOME because they spent all that time on it, and we'll love it because we've been waiting for so long. And, they're Coldplay :heart:

X&Y came out in 2005. This would come out in 2007 or 08. That's a long enough wait. They've seen their families. Everybody else works all the time, I hope they get back to it. I'm actually pretty intriqued by this album. I'm hearing it'll be My Bloddy Valentine influenced.
