I don't think anyone was flipping out. But after hearing the question asked multiple times, it just grates on some people's nerves (including mine).

c mon people the reason theres old people in the vid its coz the wanna have more fans from the 3th age hahah :P it grwing on me i kinf of like it ;)

you know what therese..the main problem with all this THP vid haters are kinda age-phobic, i don't think we would be all hearing these same comments if the dancers were like 21 or 25.

 

we have got too use to what the media usually gives us and it's all about how you MUST look young, fit, anorexic forever. in two words forever young and with someone famous, like Coldplay in this case, who put 84-old grandma it just doesn't work. we're just...

I haven't really watched the video today. I should because I really want it to grow on me already, but I had a weird dream last night where I went to the circus and all the acrobats and gymnasts were ederly.. :sick: it's really turning me off from the video at the moment!

Yeah that's the one. I've never seen Chris' dad, but that's the only shot I remember that has a man old enough to be his dad, unless it's some one on the boat that sails past while they are dancing.

But don't you think the male dancer kinda looks like Chris? They have the same nose. I'm wondering if it's a cousin...or an uncle:laugh4:

Yeah, I did find the video disturbing at the beginning but I couldn't keep a smile from creeping across my face. If one is to truly love Coldplay, you have to keep a completely open mind with all of their work. The image of the band would suffer if they were tied to some up-keep of image like with so many popular rap videos and such. Coldplay is quirky, and I love them for that. It seemed almost to be a vid for true understanders of the guys. If you don't like it, patooie and move on.
