ah man!, i'm not a fan of The Libertines, i seem to be one of the only people, (my Age) according to the NME, who doesn't like them.

Pete Doherty misses bail deadline

 

Singer Pete Doherty will have to spend the weekend in jail because he could not come up with £150,000 bond money for his bail on time.

 

The former Libertines singer had been granted bail with curfew restrictions at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on charges of robbery and blackmail. But his lawyer said the money could not be raised on time.

 

Mr Doherty, 25, was arrested following an alleged incident in a London hotel on Wednesday evening.

 

Musician Alan Wass, 23, also of north London, appeared in court accused of the same offences.

I feel sorry for him, because of his addiction. I knew someone who was addicted to a few drugs, and it wasn't a pretty sight. I don't really like all the media attention it's getting though, i wish they'd let him be, until he sorts himself out, surely the media can only be a hassle for him. i'm kind of sick of hearing about him too

I thought he was shite yesterday on Live 8 with Elton John, you couldn't really hear what he was singing- I know thats his style, but it annoys me loads.

I use to really respect the guy and his music but now i cant help feeling people love his music just because of everything else to do with him and his lifestyle. He still knows how to put on a good show and babyshambles were brilliant at o2 wireless (even though they came on 45 minutes late) but now I kind of resent him because he obviously tries to be 'rock n roll' by the things that he wears- way to much, i thought he was more of an icon when he was modest and appeared shy but naturally very cool instead of this 'fake' milarky. Am I making sense?

I saw a documentary on him a few weeks ago. It seemed he was O.K. until he got hooked on Smack - then he turned into a complete asshole.

He hadn't even done anything to become a "legend" before that.

He appears to be the ultimate narcissist, too.

i was watching the O2 wireless festical on channel4 the other day, and he was performing in babyshambles. the man was totally pissed :stunned:

I think he is a complete twat, a wannabe rock n roller...pathetic.. :angry:.and he i saw his performance with Elton, he completely sucked, kept wandering around like some drunk, and i wouldn't be surprised if he was under the influence of some kind of substance...what a loser. :angry:

Maybe, but there were plenty of other performers around backstage, he could have just asked anyone of them, he should have....would have spared the public the horror of having to listen to that sod... :lol:

Perhaps even Elton's hubby would have been a better bet!! :P
