gwyneth is no whore.. to be honest. I'm kinda jealous of her. She has an amazing body, pretty face, blonde, tall, thin, she went out with one of the most gorgeous man and is married to one too & he is a sweet heart. I would like my Jonny or Chris Martin.

& yes their honeymoon was in Mexico

I've watched Iron Man 2 and I thought Gwyneth was okay in it :/

And she looks kinda old too in the movie compared to when she was in all the interviews (Ellen etc.). I don't know, I wasn't really a fan of her work as Pepper Pots.

'Iron Man 2' Rockets to $133 Million

Iron Man 2 had a huge weekend, raking in $133.6 million and taking the top spot at the U.S. box office.

A Nightmare on Elm Street took the second spot, with $9.1 million, followed by How to Train Your Dragon, Date Night and The Back-Up Plan rounding out the top five.

Iron Man 2 also had a huge first day, joining The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 3 in opening weekend sales.

“To be in that group of some of the biggest openings of all time really is a testament to the movie (director) Jon Favreau has created and the character that Robert Downey Jr. has personified,” Paramount vice chair Rob Moore told Variety.

AMERICAN GIRL

Gwyneth Paltrow: The Oscar winner about her family and her new movie „Iron Man 2“

She was engaged to Brad Pitt, in love with Ben Affleck, and in 2003 she married Coldplay-Sänger Chris Martin, with whom she has two children, Apple Blythe Alison (6) and Moses Bruce Anthony (4).

From this Thursday (i.e. 6 May 2010) Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow, born on 27 September 1972 in Los Angeles, can be seen in the movie „Iron Man 2“ together with Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Mickey Rourke.

- A conversation with Paltrow about film kisses, her dream part and family idyll.

Question: Your colleague Robert Downey Jr. has claimed that to kiss you was not different from kissing his sister. Did you find his kisses just as exciting?

Gwyneth Paltrow (laughs): I found his movie kisses quite okay! The four of us, that is Robert, his wife Susan and us, are close friends, maybe that is why it felt somehow weird. Robert and I know each other quite well, I know his moods and his eccentricities, and he knows mine. Robert is like the second man of my life, I know his moods and how to...

. . . manipulate him?

Paltrow (laughs and blushes a bit): Next question! Well, let's put it this way: I think that in certain situations, men really need women's support.

In spite of exercising, diet and cheeky colleagues, did you also have fun doing part II of „Iron Man“?

Paltrow: Yes, indeed! I love Robert Downey Jr., it is such fun to work with him! „Iron Man“, Part I was the first movie I did after the baby break, and it was such fun – due to Robert! I would like to work with him forever! After having played with him, I only want to work with such inspiring, witty, unorthodox people.

How did you get along with Scarlett Johansson? Were there any tensions between you two superstars?

Paltrow: No! I find it really ridiculous that some people could think anything like that. We had a wonderful time together and had a lot of fun! It was really nice to have another woman in the set. Scarlett is so cheeky, witty and intelligent, and she has a loose tongue. And she is only 24 years old! I find her extremely self-assured, she is really cool!

You had a three-year-long break due to your children. Was it easy to come back - or have you in certain aspects been given more strength and are you stronger and more mature?

Paltrow (laughs in a charming and proud way): Yes, I am. Ich realize that when I was between 20 and 30 years old, then I had stepped too much on the gas. It was as if someone had put a gun against my breast, and I ran and ran and ran. Until I no longer felt like working at all. A lot of things happened in my life at that time. My father died, I married, I had children. Suddenly I realized: Hey, a real life is waiting for me. A life that has nothing to do with Hollywood and its negative sides. At that time I have only associated something negative with it. Therefore, it made me very happy to concentrate on being a mother for three years.

Did you fear that your passion for your job could have been completely gone?

Paltrow: I have always known that this fire, this desire to work would come back. The breaks did me good, in particular because during this time-out, so many wonderful things happened to me as a mother - things that made me feel like flying.

Do you feel guilty today when you are in front of the camera and you have to leave your children in the care of others?

Paltrow: In the first couple of days I felt really bad. I imagined how the children were in the bathroom, and I was not there with them, and I cried. Nevertheless, it was important to me. I understood that it is okay to live out my talent, to give space to this other side in me. But I will never again live it out to the same degree as before. My family is too precious to me. Besides, I will only do what seems right to me instead of being bothered with the expectations of other people.

Your mother, Blythe Danner, is also an actress. What have you learnt from her?

Paltrow: I have often accompanied my mother to work at the theatre. I loved to watch her on stage. I just sat there admiring her. She was so full of energy, she was incredible! To watch your mother like that can inspire a child a lot. I wanted to be like her. I would not play in order to become famous, but just to do what my mother had done. I owe the respect for this work to her.

You were much affected by the death of your father in 2002. Shortly afterwards you met the man of your life, Chris Martin . . .

Paltrow: . . . only three weeks after my father's death! Sometimes I feel as if my father was pressing from above. Even from Heaven he is still overprotective.

Is there a dream part that you would absolutely like to play?

Paltrow: I would like to participate in a musical. To sing and to dance on stage . . . aah, that would be such a wonderful challenge. For my latest movie I had to sing a lot of country music. I found out how much fun I had.

Maybe we can expect a duet by you and your husband in the future?

Paltrow: No, no, no! Never! (Laughs loudly). This is for sure!

Could your husband give you helpful tips to embody a credible singer?

Paltrow: Oh yes! Especially when I had to shoot a concert scene, his advice helped me very much. Unfortunately I can not tell you more, because I had to promise him that they remain a secret. He uses those tricks himself after all! (Laughs)

You were in New York, when the ash cloud grounded flights in Europa. How did the volcanic eruption influence your life?

Paltrow: The good thing was: The four of us were all stranded together in New York. What strange occurrence: I think that this should somehow remind us of the fact that we cannot control everything in this world.

Do your feel that you are more European than American?

Paltrow: Yes, Europe has a wonderful life style, but I also love America. I am really an American Girl, I am born in Los Angeles, grown up in New York. Some clichés are very true. Customer service in America is much better than in Europe (laughs). The wonderful thing is that in London I can spend the entire day with my children, undisturbed, far away from Hollywood. Only in the evening there are all these telephone calls from America taking me away from the family idyll.

Oh and I thought for those not knowing what a "Dirty Martini" was it's dirty or Cloudy looking do to adding olive juice or Brine. You can use Vodka or Gin, and dry Vermouth. :)

Child Cocktail Waitress Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow used to make martinis for her father when she was just six years old.

Gwyneth Paltrow started mixing cocktails when she was just six years old.

The 'Iron Man 2' star - who has two children, Apple, six, and Moses, four, with her husband Chris Martin - learned about alcohol by making drinks for her father, film producer, Bruce Paltrow when she was a child.

She said: "I love a dirty martini. I used to make my dad his drinks when I was about six!"

Despite her career achievements, Gwyneth - who runs her own lifestyle website GOOP - claims appearing on a cookery programme has been the highlight of her working life because she is such a fan of food.

Speaking on UK TV show 'Market Kitchen', she said: "I really love eating. This is a highlight of my career."

Although Gwyneth - who lists her favourite foods as muffins, grilled tuna, gorgonzola and pomegranates - has been cooking "seriously" for around 15 years, she admits her children are less-than-impressed by her culinary creations.

She said: "They're quite picky."

The 37-year-old actress used to follow a strict macrobiotic diet but now allows herself to indulge in some of her favourite calorific treats.

She said recently: "I love anything fried, fish and chips, and I love Branston pickle and I love red wine."

I guess that they are so used to good food that they take it for granted.

No, they're kids, they're picky. A lot of kids are picky.

Haven't been onboard for a week so figured I'd have pages to wade through on this thread... hmn... very quiet :inquisitive:

I hope she doesn't indulge the kids' picky-ness too much. My boyf was a picky child and his mother put up with way too much  Now he's a picky adult who won't try anything new and practically lives on chicken!

Thank you Monicka!

No surprise - I don't like her shoes.

Sometimes she just looks better in her regular clothes I think.

And I don't really like those dresses with the waist line neither on the actual waist nor clearly above it... don't know how to describe it. :uhoh:

Thanks for posting these Gwyneth pictures, Monicka

I like Gwyneth's dress, but absolutely not the shoes!
