fricking hell. even if you can afford it, i don't see why anyone would want to spend THAT much on shoes. if i was as rich as gwyneth, i might go to like $5000 for some i really like, but $30,000? that's a CAR, not a pair of heels.

 

on a different note, i hope she keeps her hair short like this for a long time. i particularly love it the times its been curly/wavy.

I thought she was great on the Oprah show. Very interesting and she is in great shape.

 

I can't and can believe that she would spend so much on shoes. They are really pretty, but I would feel so bad spending all that money. She has a nice classic style.

The actress, who is on the road with famed chef Mario Batali, has turned to the Web to share her experiences as a cook and mother.

 

"Over the years I have tried lots of different things. I have made lots of mistakes. But I figured some things out in the process and would like to share them with you," Paltrow writes on the main page of her new Web site, GOOP, where she encourages readers to "nourish the inner aspect".

 

So far there's only a message from the actress posted, but she promises more juicy content soon.

 

Readers can sign up for a newsletter to see recipes and travel notes from Paltrow, who turns 36 on Saturday. She also will publish fashion buys and advice from her "sages," and promises a few surprises to come.

 

"My life is good because I am not a passive person," she writes. "Goop is a little bit of everything that makes up my life," says the happily married mother of two.

 

The most important thing, though, is for readers to enjoy their own lives, she says, and to "make it great."

The 35-year-old actress has recently revealed her newest venture - this time onto the Internets! Gwynie heads the site Goop.com which has icons for Make, Go, Get, Do, Be and See. Additionally, the actress will publish essays on various topics ranging from cooking to fitness.

 

A snippet on the site says:

 

“My life is good because I am not passive about it. I want to nourish what is real, and I want to do it without wasting time. I love to travel, to cook, to eat, to take care of my body and mind, to work hard. I love being a mother who has to overcome my bad qualities to be a good mother.
