In Ok Magazine there is a small interview with Blythe Danner, Gwnys mom, and she talks about how great of a mom Gwyn is and how lil apple is so cute and smart. Its a nice lil interview that has some mentions of gwyn .

I'm so glad she added this sentence, cuz it just goes to show that "at the end of the day", she doesn't like Gwyn because she's not an attention-seeking, headline-creating tart - and if anything, her comment is a positive for Gwyneth. The thing that really gets to me is when celebrities are EXPECTED to entertain us outside of their line of work, like music or movies. Gwyn finishes a movie and she probably goes back home (whether that be a 7 star hotel or her house in a trendy London neighborhood - she's got the money, so why not?? ) and lives a relatively normal life like the rest of us. I know lots of people who are on macrobiotic diets (even though I heard she's not as strict anymore), and seeing as everyone is more health-concious now, most women stop drinking and smoking when they're pregnant, and like Gwyneth, even try to find new ways to eat or exercise that will be for the benefit of their baby. What's wrong with that?? So she now has to put her baby's life on risk so people can relate to her and find her 'normal'?? Some might view her as a little extreme, but so are many other people - and that's none of our business. That's just the way of life she chose. It's true that there are many people who don't like Gwyneth, and I will admit that it's understandable. It's obvious that she's shy and she herself said that she's a "Jewish princess". She was born into a rich family and she got pampered. So no, she's not like us and she doesn't have to be. But that doesn't mean she's a bad person - she's no Paris Hilton! Honestly, for someone born with such priveliges (spelling?), I think Gwyn's more down-to-earth than many others like her turn out to be.

 

I'm sorry if I really got into this, but it's just that the article really pissed me off and made me laugh at it's ridiculity at the same time. Some people just want to talk trash about people they've never even met and that really irritates me!

I read that article last week. It said "Gwyneth' so of course I had to read it; you're right, total bs! They've never met her, they are only going on her public image. It was absurd! I think most people who write rotten things about Chris or Gwyn or clearly jealous! It's an age old emotion, and now people get to put their opinions in magazines and websites and claim it as fact when they are simply jealous of a beautiful, gracious, intelligent woman (and her incredibly talented husband).

I totally agree with you and everything you said, Sherine! It's exactly what I would have said - I'm defending Gwyneth, her kids, Coldplay and everything around every single day in front of people who just talk SHIT and who are simply jealous and want to get entertained - whatever Gwyneth is doing in her free time is none of their business. Of course us fans would like to know what she enjoys doing and it's interesting to hear that she's on a kind of macrobiotic (spelling?) diet, but who cares? I didn't even think much about that, because it's her business, it's her decision, IT'S HER LIFE! I really hope that Gwyneth doesn't take all this shit to heart, because that would be really sad.. But I think she's a strong woman, she's heard so many stupid comments during her entire career and I think she found out who to trust and who to ignore! You know, at the beginning of her career, everyone said she looks "cold" and "arrogant", and kinda like an ice queen, you know - but look at her pics NOW, I can honestly see a total change! It seems like she's much more relaxed about her life and her career now, she's got much more experience and she's finally got a FAMILY and someone who truly loves her. If you're around people like Brad Pitt or Ben Affleck, you're still too much into this whole shiny showbusiness, that's simply not a good place for such a lovely, adorable woman..

 

I could go on and on forever, because I absolutely admire Gwyneth, I think she's an extraordinary woman and I'm not only saying that because she's married to Chris - I also loved her before she married him and the two together are just perfect! It seems like he's the second half she's been missing all her life and you can see that in her face! I'm just so happy for her - and I'm sure she's happy, too, so that she can forget about all this bullshit being written in the tabloids!

Gwyneth is an extraordinary woman, people who write this are jealous... shes a lucky girl with a lovely family...

re: that article, I think that to a big extent, the "ice queen" label comes from her having a bit of a Mr. Darcy thing going on. Her priorities are in the right place- with her family instead of the attention seeking media suck-up crowd, and because that's what matters to her now, it annoys those sorts of "journalists" (and I use that term lightly.)
