Right before the acoustic set, this girl in the front row got on her cell phone and was doing business calls I guess or talking to a friend about Coldplay.

 

Chris sees her and goes " i can't fucking believe this...There's someone on their phone right here..."

 

And then he's like "We've never done this before, but you're gonna come up on stage and make your phone calls while we do the next part of our show..."

 

She is helped over the divider and she's STILL on the phone.

 

She gets on the stage and has like a bean bag thing to sit one and they give her a beer.

 

So she sits through Till Kingdom Come, RIng of Fire and Trouble.

 

the concert was amazing... They didnt change the lyrics to Politik but God Put a Smile Upon your Face and it was like "give me a jack, a queen, a king, maybe an Ace" or something along those lines (It's a casino).

 

He told the audience this would be a good concert... And it was... The atmosphere was great, A LOT better than the summer concert. I think because during the summer concert there were a lot of under 15 people and people who just knew speed of sound. There were true fans there tonight which made it more enjoyable than it would have been.

 

Chris told us that he heard this was a tough crowd (Maybe because of the summer concert, maybe because Ashcroft got sucha bad response)...But those rumors were wrong and we were great.

 

I totally agree and this was by far one of the best concerts I've been to (My second Coldplay, but I've been to other concerts).

oh, it was AMAZING, BRILLIANT, and WONDERFUL. The girl on stage cracked me up, however jealous I was, but it seemed to take her a while to realize she was being made fun of, because she just kept talking on the phone while she was sitting on the beanbag on stage. Oy vey...

 

But Will helped her up onto the stage himself, not a roadie or security guard, but WILL. He just leaned over and lifted her up...Oh, how I would die.

 

If I knew how to post pics/vids I would...maybe I'll mess around with it later. My only wish is that the camera I borrowed from my friend had a better zoom (all my cameras are too professional to be allowed in, dammit...sometimes being a photographer makes it HARDER to take photos). Oh, and my other wish was that the top tier of seats (upper section) was connected to the lower level by a staircase, because I bet Chris would have come all the way up if he could have...and there was a whole bunch of empty seats next to me and a great place dead-center for him to sing off of...well, I would have jumped him and gotten arrested, but still. I wish....

So I had tickets in Section 14 but had to sell them do to work obligations. However, my work trip got cancelled.

 

I live very close to the Mohegan Sun so I decided to try my luck by just going up there to see if I could get tickets. I was standing outside the arena and this guy said hey do you need tickets. He had tickets in Section 115 and was selling them for 1/2 price. I negotiated the price and got them for $30 each.

 

I go into the arena and ask the usher with help finding my seats. I recognized him as someone I used to work with. He recognized me, as well. He said follow me, he brought us to another usher. I thought he was just seating us, but no. The other usher put stickers on our tickets, the stickers said Section 20.

 

The seats ended up being two rows up from the floor right behind the soundboard. Awesome! I couldn't believe it.

 

The concert was fantastic. You know the part in the show where Chris runs around the arena floor? Well he stopped right in front me and I ran my fingers through his hair! Incredible. He kissed the girl in front of me (lucky girl).

 

If that wasn't great enough. At the end of show I asked the soundboard guy for the setlist. So I have that along with the memory of Chris's wet hair. Woo Hoo!

 

Oh, just as an aside. I went up to the ticket window at about quarter to 7 just wanting to check the seating chart. I asked if tickets were still available, sure enough there were great lower level seats in pairs available.

oh, i forgot, Jonny had a SOLO SINGING PART. The second verse of "don't panic". Chris said it was for the first time in CT, but I'd never heard of him doing that ANYWHERE, so I freaked out. He seemed really shy and looked like he was going to wet his pants, but he was great!! Unfortunately, his voice is so low that he was really really hard to hear, but I have it on video. If I ever figure out how to post it, I will.

I'm still in shock from the show, and haven't gotten a chance to upload my videos to youtube. I'll do that later tonight. As well as fix my pictures, then upload those.

I HAD SUCH AMAZING SEATS. Wow. Mohegan Sun is SO small, the floor was great.

 

 

 

This makes me look really far away! I hate that! I was so much closer than that.

The crowd was good. Overall, not the best crowd I've ever experienced. But definately kicked my summer concert's ass from here to kingdom come (oooh dumb pun). I was very, very annoyed by all the drinking and pot smoking going on around me. Ok, I know it's all nice and fun for people, but it pissed me off when people are completely shit faced drunk and have like.... fifth row.

 

 

And don't get me started on the assholes who came in late and had second row seats. If you come late to a show, you sit in the back. End of story. Fuckin' hell.

 

 

But all in all, it was EXTREMELY good, just thanks to the guys. The venue was nice... I love how small Mohegan Sun Arena is (I've seen a couple previous shows there). But security treated me very badly once the show got started. I was filming, wasn't disrupting anyone, and a guy came up and grabbed my arm, physically pulled my camera away, and said "Stop recording" in a very, very sarcastic tone. And seriously, he smirked. And I looked at him and said "Oh. I'm sorry. I just want to remember this????" Ugh.

 

 

 

LMFAO /done. Sorry, it was kind of a strange experience for me. A different concert than any I've gone to.... I've never been treated as badly as I was, not even when I did GA for U2, and that's a free standing floor! But Coldplay blew me away. Chris was so funny "God gave you style, he gave you grace. A jack, a king, a queen an ace!"

 

 

 

I'm going to write up my entire review/experience in my journal, as well as post my pictures and videos there (which I'll leave public and link for those who'd like to see). Right now, though, I'm taking a loooong nap!!!

Oh man, and what about Chris getting the light stuck in the rafters at the end of Fix You!? LMFAO! He looked so confused. He was all ":stunned: :thinking: " at the very end of the song.

Thanks for all the news guys. Sounds like it was fun! And that girls needs slapping. How rude was she? But she was lucky to get handled by Coldplay [don't mess LOL]

Annoying bout the idiots around you...I had people sitting down next to me in the standing area at Earls Court and smoking every 10 mins even though there were massive signs everywhere!!! Gawd cant ppl go without if for 2 or 3 hours?! I also went to another gig the other day and it STUNK of weed in the crowd...disgusting for other people. :angry:

 

I friggin hate random-ass people that go to Coldplay and get better seats than the true fans...I cant believe about that girl on a phone!!!! what?!?!

 

The jack/ace stuff....its weird cos last night on here we were talking about a coldplay deck of cards lol

How come chris always wears the same exact shirt?? it has a HUGE rip in the armpit, and he's been wearing it for months. He wore it to the Grammys too (I think it was the grammys...no wait, it may have been the MTV VMAs...yeah that sounds right). I kinda wanna buy him a new one.

 

Well, he might rip all his shirts in the same place, but I'm pretty sure its the same one...we should all pitch in and buy him one
