Info: And I Feel Fine... The Best of the I.R.S. Years 1982-1987 is a compilation album by R.E.M. that features songs from the band's years at I.R.S. Records. It was released 12 September 2006. A companion DVD, called When the Light Is Mine, was released the same day.

And I Feel Fine is available in two versions: a regular one-CD version with 21 fan-favorite tracks spanning the Chronic Town EP from 1982 to 1987's Document, and a second edition that contains the regular CD plus a bonus CD that includes rarities including unreleased songs, alternate mixes, and others. The album tracks are all re-mastered.

Two songs — "Bad Day" and "All the Right Friends" — appear in demo or outtake version here and in final versions on the 2003 Warner Bros. R.E.M. compilation In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003.

Sure i did!Thank you very much!I am a huge R.E.M. fan from the very first day they started and i will always be!

i like them very much, but i must confess i don't know all of their songs.. i have the last album, i think - where the song "leaving new york" is.. and i love "electron blue" :nice: and i know those world-wide known songs as well..

ho ho.. well we need to change that!. :D .. magda.. you should be listening to their album: Automatic For The People. this was my 1st ..

btw leaving New York & electron blue (the album - Around The Sun).. are really amazing!

Perfect Circle and Talk About The Passion from Murmer, their first album are two of the best songs ever, IMO.

I lived in Athens, GA in 1990-91 and I got to see them play a surprise gig at a club called the 40 Watt Club...It was the best concert of my life until I saw Coldplay in Toronto!!

indeed.. Murmur.. is a great album. :D

& wow! you are soo lucky that you got to see them live! it's one of my biggest wishes to be able to see them live.. :nice:

R.E.M are great. I've always found Stipe's voice very comforting, somehow.

I think there's another thread for them though

This is my wildest dream too!I really hope i'll get to see them live! They are amazing! They've composed songs that noone else has before and (i am pretty convinced) will never compose!E.g. "Country Feedback","Everybody Hurts","Drive","Leave","At my most beautiful","Try not to breathe","Losing my religion","It's the end of the world","Find the river",and so on!Trust me,i can keep going forever!

oh i know that feeling.. :smug2:, naming my fav is always very tough. & also each song has its own style, so they have a song for every mood im in.. or feeling. :nice:

That's spot on!That's what i like the most about them!Whereas the same doesn't for Coldplay!99% of their songs suit only miserable and melacholic moods.I mean if you're really happy you won't go on to listen to Coldplay, you know...Whereas you can listen to R.E.M. when you are happy, sad, confused, angry, overwhelmed and so on.There's certainly a great variety of songs suiting a great variety of moods!
