Band Name - Poll

Featured Replies

We are releasing a disc of new original music soon. Similiar to Coldplay, Keane, The Verve, etc.

Down to 2 band names to try to choose the final name of the band.

mercury push

or

Colourbreak

Which one works best ?

Thanks!

personally colourbreak.

only because there's a boy band from australia called mercury 4. and ... yeah it ... you know...

Mercury Push is just a leeeeetle bit like Mercury Rev, and I hate to bring that up because I know personally how annoying it is when someone points something like that out, but I think it would just cause a tiny bit of confusion.

Go for Colourbreak I think, its a pretty nice name. Good luck with the record.

Сolourbreak reminds me of that Rich's song-Break The Night With Colour, so yep, I vote for it)

So far, Colourbreak in the lead.....

I like Colourbreak....mercury push is a little bit cheesey.

I vote for Colourbreak...its similar to Coldplay...and we all know how famous they've become...and how good they are.

What an awful reason to choose a name. If anything you want to sound original. for example Coldplay wouldnt be huge if their name was something that sounded like Radiohead.

Rodeoface.

Yeah....no offence but that really was a terrible reason.

Rodeoface.

Thats my band's name! :toff:

Mercury sounds a little too something annoying, so it's Colourbreak for me

I quite like Colourbreak.

Very original... invokes an overwhelming amount of imagery in my head when I think of it.

Colourbreak

colourbreak sounds better than mercury push so i'd go with that:)

when i think colourbreak i vision something exploding and all this colour busting out covering everything :) its cool, stick with it

Colourbreak

Well since I posted this, we've been using Colourbreak thanks to an overwhelming response. We did a Springsteen cover just because we had the opportunity a few years ago.....Colourbreak originals soon to be posted to myspace.

Check the page and cover of "Atlantic City" here...
