August 20, 201114 yr I wish I could do that, but sadly basically anything I post on Facebook is Coldplay related. My friends ignore me. :P Do it. I guess it's up to what your friends think of Coldplay...:) I actually havn't posted about Coldplay on my FB for a long time. :surprised: 4 People has 'liked' it. Two of them are from Coldplaying. :D Edit: I like this GIF. :wacky:
August 21, 201114 yr If anyone saw the VH1 top20 countdown, let me know what the host said when he presented coldplay, I think ETIAW moved to #4 spot thanks to lollapalooza :D
August 21, 201114 yr Saturday morning just before a noise woke me up, I was dreaming of the tracklisting for Mylo Xyloto album - known stuff and waking up I added Princess of China and one more (the Princess of China might have be wishful thinking), but soon we will know for sure. And for Danes who can watch VH-1, Denmark (I can see it via You See cable TV and I am using this programme as radio): Today - Sunday 21.8.11 at 18-19 o'clock from VH1, Denmark there is STORYTELLERS: COLDPLAY. From the description of today's programme: "With 13 grammys and 50 million sold records Coldplay is among the greatest rock artists in the world. The band with the piano-playing Chris Martin as frontman can be enjoyed in this programme in the intimate concert "Storytellers" which offers songs like "Clocks", "Yellow", "Speed of Sound", "square One" and "Fix You".
August 21, 201114 yr The radio just played In My Place (so naturally I turned the volume up)! At a point it was kind of awkward, though, because they had apparently forgotten to turn the microphone off so you could hear someone whistling along to the guitar riff for a moment. :uhoh:  I can't wait for the new album, but I really hope I can afford the limited edition package. :worried: I've just moved from my family home for myself, you see.

August 21, 201114 yr I wonder if we get a new Roadie42 blog, or an interview, or just more news before September 12th...
August 21, 201114 yr I hope so. It's depressing not having any new Coldplay news. :P Oh, and I just realized how wonderful AROBTTH sounds in the morning...
August 21, 201114 yr Oh, and I just realized how wonderful AROBTTH sounds in the morning... What time is it in your place? :nice: It's 16:59 here. :P
August 21, 201114 yr A channel of Spain has broadcast the movie "You got an e-mail" right now, and I've noticed that the shop that the character of Meg Ryan owns, is closed after 42 years of being opened :D
August 21, 201114 yr Hey, i have a question/random thought :) How long did it take you to fully listen to all of coldplay's officially released songs? Is it weird that i've been a hardcore fan for almost two years and am still discovering songs of theirs (only b-sides) that i love? :P
August 21, 201114 yr Its so depressing that there's no new blog :( I wanted to read about what they thought about Lollapalooza. :\ I know im still not done listening to all their bsides, but im slowly enjoying them :)
August 21, 201114 yr I have just enjoyed COLDPLAY / STORYTELLERS from 2005 (broadcast via VH-1 Denmark today, Sunday 21.8.11 from 18.10 to 18.50). Some of their comments to the songs they played: "Yellow" was made in Wales. In My Place is the key song on A rush of Blood to the Head around which the other songs on that record revolve. Key song on Parachutes is Trouble, and Fix You is the key song on X&Y. Politik - Guy didn't recall whether it came up before or after 11.9.01, but it was around that time, and the song nailed the sentiment. Will: It is a personal statement of what is good and what is bad. Speed of Sound is inspired by Kate Bush's "Running Up that Hill" and was Coldplay's "current" single when Storytellers with Coldplay was made. The Scientist was written on the train to Liverpool by Chris and Jonny. They were not pleased with the songs they had made so far for A Rush of Blood apart from two: In My Place and Politik. Then they came up with The Scientist and introduced it to Will as they got off the train. Will liked it, and it is his favourite song on that album. CLOCKS - Will was not very pleased with that song and was convinced that it would not be a hit song. Some other guy said the same thing and added that "he would eat his hat if it became a hit song". So Will said: "Dave Holmes and others: Serve the hat". Will got goosebumps when he saw the laser used for Clocks in the beginning of the song. Fix You - Chris called it "our most important song where we are trying to outdo the Bee Gees - 3 brothers singing in harmony. We are 4 guys trying to sing in 4-part harmony thus outdoing the Bee Gees. It was so nice to see this Storytellers episode again. I saw it once or twice in 2008 / 2009. But "Square One" was not played even though a description of today's programme mentioned that song. But the programme was fine also without "Square One".
August 21, 201114 yr Hey, i have a question/random thought :) How long did it take you to fully listen to all of coldplay's officially released songs? Is it weird that i've been a hardcore fan for almost two years and am still discovering songs of theirs (only b-sides) that i love? :P Not at all. I've been a fan for ever but didn't discover many of their unreleased songs/b-sides til I found this forum. :) The guy who drove me to my gig yesterday was talking about the music he likes...Cheap Trick, The Doors (hates the Beatles, btw! :o ). He said the only 'modern' band he actually likes is Coldplay!! Since he likes knowing everything about his favorite bands I got to spout off a bunch of things about them, lol. I played VLV for him at the show too. Nice to meet another fan in town since there aren't many. :)
August 21, 201114 yr A few minutes ago on the radio station I'm listening to, the host said he was most excited to see Coldplay perform at the Iheartradio music festival in Vegas and that he's looking forward to Mylo Xyloto. It was weird actually hearing someone on radio say Mylo Xyloto. :D
August 21, 201114 yr I love my phone because it's sound is amazing, the speakers are awesome and really loud, perfect for playing Coldplay. :D
