You should see my old school ruler, it has COLDPLAY carved into it and coldplay lyrics all over it, I get so bored in class, but now I'm afraid to use my ruler because it has COLDPLAY writting all over it...

im kind of paranoid about anyone i know figuring out just how obsessed with coldplay i am, especially how in love i am with the boys themselves. its kind of inexplicable why i dont want people to know :thinking:. i suppose its because not too many people are as obsessed as we are :)

I completely understand. I don't really like talking about Coldplay with other people. And for some reason I don't like people to hear me listening to Coldplay so I always listen to them through headphones. And the thing about scratching Don't over the panic button sounds so much like something I would do. Maybe I will...

haha, i was kind of surprised at myself because im not usually whimsical, i dont like permanently altering things (like CARVING things into them), and it was kind of a public display of my coldplay dorkiness.

 

its not that i dont like talking about them with other people, i just have to be very conscious of how much im gushing or going on about them in a girly excited way. even yesterday i was telling my friend just how much i was looking forward to the new album (in a toned-down way, though!) and she was like "OMG...loser!!"

Though shes not much of a music person in the first place, so i dont really expect her to understand.

 

in other news, yesterday at work (i work at a doctors office) one of my firends was reading an entertainment magazine and said "is there an actress out there named blythe danner?" and my coldplay senses started tingling, but another co-worker was like "yeah, shes gwyneth paltrow's mother!" and another person said "i love gwyneth paltrow" and i said "I love her husband more" but no one asked any further questions...

I hate it when people automatically think you're weird because you listen to Coldplay, or totally dis all their music based on one song. I bet that if they heard Pour Me and didn't know who is was, they'd think it was pretty cool. But as soon as you say "That's Coldplay", they hate it (but we know sercretly that the love still love the song;))

 

All my (close) friends know how much I love Coldplay. One of my friends bought me LIVE 2003 for my birthday and for about a month I was thanking her every day.

today i have to read a speech for some kids that graduated in muy englisgh institute..

i know them.. but just a little bit.. so i was very shy and nervous when my teacher called my to the satge to read the speech that I have made by myself..

Well the thing is that 2 minutes before my speech i was VERY NERVOUSS cause the room was full of people..

^dude, clocks during a graduation ceremony?!?! thats AWESOME!! we only got the traditional stuff at ours, even if i did have sigur ros's "staralfur" in my head all day...

 

yeah, there is a bit of a "stigma" with coldplay, i guess, but for me its less who they are and what their music is like that makes me want to keep my obsession under wraps...its more just being that into anything that's not considerered "intellectual" or something. i dont know, i went to this pretty...intense school where everyone thinks theyre the next einstein or mozart or whatever and worked their asses off, and it was actually cool to be intellectual and brilliant and into things that people our age usually arent. of course everyone are still teenagers underneath...but i would have been horribly mocked if they all got an inkling at how obsessed i was with a rock band rather than the french revolution or victorian literature. i like all that stuff, but nothing grabs me like music (specifically coldplay) does.

im holding out for the coldplay christmas prezzie this week. it's getting rather close to xmas...they havent got much time left if theyre going to give us one (and im assuming they are).

 

im probably getting my hopes up waaay too much about the present containing/being album info (read: date), so ill be grudingly satisfied with a adorably hilarious video like they usually do. ok, not grudgingly...but i will think about how they could have made my christmas and my life...

I don't care what the pressie is, I would prefer it to be a release date or front row tickets to an exclusive live show...

 

But if it's them dancing around I'll be just as happy...

i'll love love love them dancing, but its been done...twice before.

i cant believe im getting picky about what coldplay hands out to us...but i guess im getting so excited about new coldplay material that im getting anxious and demanding :confused: :P

a few days ago i had a dream in which i got the new coldplay album and: it had two more songs on it so that it was more than 42 minutes. i just thought: see? as i knew before it would be more than only 42 minutes...

the very next day i saw chris in my dream singing something like a refrain: the sun's coming out, the sun's coming out, the sun's coming out.....

I heard "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" off the Mince Spies CD in H&M today! :freak:

 

I recognized it immediately from the piano in the beginning, but I was doubting myself until I heard Chris's voice... :blush: 'Twas a pleasant surprise! :)

OK, so I keep hearing this diamond jewelry commercial on TV... like 4 times this hour... is that Chris singing "I think that quite possibly I may have fallen for you...etc." It sure sounds like him! Did he do this commercial? It's driving me crazy every time I hear it! Cause it sounds very much like his voice.

whaaaaaat? i know exactly what commercial you're talking about and in my opinion he sounds NOTHING like chris. but thats just me. i didnt even connect that song with chris until you said that, acutally. but whatever you think, of course :)

 

in my car today my ipod died so i put in my AROBTTH CD. and it started skipping. i almost cried. i take such painstaking care of my CDs that it shouldnt be skipping! well, i own two copies of it and its in my itunes AND i have the vinyl, but still. its sad. that CD goes everywhere with me.

My poor X&Y cd case is falling apart. It has been shaby ever since I got it anyway. The CD does skip (but ont on Til Kingdom Come, so I don't really mind) and the case had scratches all over it, but other than that, it works fine.

 

Well, Chelsea, I told you about listening to Coldplay for the last time until some concrete info came out and officially, I have tucked my Coldplay CDs away and I am not gonna listen to them until something happens...

 

...It getting really annoying...must.not.turn.on.cd.player.

i put the CD in my car stereo again today, and it was fine. whaaaatever. i listened to X&Y instead yesterday (taking a break from pablo honey and in rainbows, which have both been welded to my stereo since october), but i must say after listening to them both in a row like that a)X&Y is a good album for any other band, but for coldplay it just wasnt up to par and b) AROBTTH is better to drive to. and sing along to: i cant go nearly as high as chris does in X&Y. "daylight" is more my range :P

But true, AROBTTH is awsome to drive to, my brother puts the Live 2003 CD on sometimes. White Shadows is probably the best 'driving' song off X&Y...

 

I was just thinking about all the Coldplay Music videos and comparing them to the Muse ones...I just figured that the Coldplay vids all carry one thing in common...Chris looks tried in very single one of them...

^yeah, i only have a burned copy of parachutes! i figure i should eventually buy the official CD for the hell of it. but i do have the official vinyl, so i assume that counts for something.

 

jeeeez, the one day in like 6 months that i DONT come here, the xmas message is up! theyre soooo adorable.

 

it seems to be that whenever i have a sleepover with my friends and we stay up all night and i drive home in a groggy haze late the next morning, "the scientist" always comes up on my ipod and seems so fitting. not really the words, but the music. i dont know, thats totally toally random, but its true. its happened at least four times, and every time i'm driving along and thinking "wow, what perfect music for this morning." happened again today.
