  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

Thanks, I'm just downloading it from another thread, I cant wait to hear it now!

while i was driving today on the highway i looked at the car next to me and i swore i saw someone that looked EXACTLY like guy berryman. i took a double take and almost flipped out then i realized that it would be impossible considering i live in ny.. it got me really excited though!

OK, so I'm in Chicago and about to see a full Coldplay gig for the very first time...we sit down to dinner last night and the second the waiter puts the plates on the table a song comes on over the speakers......

Warning Sign

oh yeah...

Haha ! funny!

ohh yes, thanks chavi! :nice:

i didn't see the question.

and that really WAS the best story ever, my god. sooo hilarious.

and yes, HILARIOUS ! Jonny was so cute telling that story. Its nice too see him TALKING without Chris interrupting :P

had a coldplay dream last night in which i was at a coldplay concert (though a very small one, and it was just chris there), and before he started playing, chris was going around shaking hands and everything, and i was one of the first ones he came to. i was basically wetting myself, so i just said "hi" and shook his hand and asked how he was. he said that he was good, and i think this concert was the night after the today show performance, because i said "i got up at 2 in the morning today to go see you on the today show, and now i'm here!" and he got an impressed/weirded out look :P

i had basically front row seats for this concert, and the whole time i was just thinking of how awesome my pictures were going to be. how i wish all that actually happened...

^ Ah, I hate those kind of dreams! That really must have been sad to wake up to!

i was on the tram today, and when it stopped at a stop, i could have SWORN will champion was waiting there. this dude looked so much like him it was freaky. he was wearing willish clothes and everything, and was the spitting image of him. and he was wearing a jonny hat :P

also, i brought the kids to a playground today, but i forgot a book to read while i waited for them. i got kind of bored, so i took out a pad of paper and pen i had, and because i can't draw, somehow i got around to writing out whole coldplay song lyrics from memory :P. i tried to make each song fit on a single piece of notepaper, double sided.

i did the scientist, viva la vida, amsterdam, shiver, and a message. i was THAT bored :P

I had a dream with Chris last night. In the dream he was my English teacher or something...I don't remember much else but I DO remember being wicked excited that he was in my dream lol. I woke with a cheesy smile and thought about it all day. :D

Oh that reminds me of how I always write down their lyrics on my notebooks when I'm not paying attention in class (which is pretty much always... :P ) It really is fun and at times therapeutic!

I was listening to Clocks for the first time in a while, and it gave me such a surge of happiness with its beauty. I reminds me of how much I really do love Coldplay. But the thing is, with the songs of AROBTTH, they are so nostalgic and deeply personal, and Clocks has always been an extremely nostalgic song that takes me to a very happy time a few years ago. And it also makes me sad, because even though things are pretty good now, nothing can top that summer, and I know that I can't ever get it again.

Last night (in my dreams):

My friends and I were taking a stroll around downtown LA/Hollywood and were just outside of the Capitol Records building. The boys came then came walking out of the doors and like the nutter I am I freaked out (!!!), so I went up to them just to say "hi" and take a picture.

But that's not all...Will gave me a bear-hug, Guy took a 'MySpace'-esque photo of me from his camera and told me that he'll have his assistant email it to me (LOL ), Johnny strummed on his guitar and Chris was defending himself when I teased him about eating a Granny-Smith APPLE during our little banter. My friends remained dumb-struck the whole time, even when the boys began to do a free-concert for the growing-crowd.

And then I woke up with "The Escapist" stuck in my head to sing along.

Oh and today at work someone said "they're not dead!", and....well..."they're just living in my head."

haha ^ last night i had a dream about coldplay too! they stayed at my house! it has got to be one of the strangest BEST dreams i have ever had. i took the whole band to a chinese restaurant (that i never go to) and gwenyth came as well. i had to entertain them after dinner and got everyone desserts, so i started saying "come on!" and then suddenly we were all singing amsterdam. then the band got all their instruments out and we had a whole jam session (this all happened in my basement...which is completely non-existent in real life) and i later remember something about a concert but then....unfortunately...i woke up.

I skipped over the part about that being a dream, and didn't even realize that probably didn't really happen until reading the note at the beginning. I'm way too gullible. :laugh3:

Also...a while back I went to a mini-golf course with my family; they usually have awful music blaring loudly out of speakers all around the course, and pretty much every messed-up shot gets blamed on the music.

But that time, just as we were starting the first hole, Yellow came on. :D And even though no one there except me knew about Coldplay at the time, no one complained even once about that song; it was great. Plus, while Yellow was running my ball got hit by one of those swinging pole things, bounced around, and stopped dead right next to the hole...but still under the pole, with it swinging around missing it by a couple millimeters. :inquisitive:

Random Coldplay thought:

I feel like I almost never listen to "In My Place" yet somehow it is always in my top 10 most played iTunes songs. Hasn't left the top 10 in forever, but I never listen to it it seems.

I guess I listen to it but just dont even realize it.

I was in the bathroom at this fancy restaurant a few days ago, and "Speed of Sound" came on the radio, so I just stood in there for like 4 minutes without even realizing it, listening. Eventually my mom came in to see if I was alright and just saw me standing at the sink, singing the lyrics. :laugh3:

I think someone was talking about Chris today actually in my Maths class. I didn't catch what they said afterwards because I think they kinda stopped.

:laugh3: I would have been like 'errrrr did you have something bad?' :P

I saw some curtains the other day, called FIX.

And the weird thing right before I saw that, I was singing on Fix you!

Today I was showing my little nine year-old sister the program book I got at the concert, and there was a page with all the guys together and she said 'I know who they are! That one's the lead singer, he plays the guitar, he plays drums, and he plays bass." And she's pointing to each guy, and she was right about all of them! And I never even told her before or made her watch videos or anything, so I don't know how she knew!! I was so amazed! I patted her head and said 'AWWWW I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!' I was such a proud sister, you have no idea, lol. Then afterwards I taught her their actual names. :D

Then later on tonight we were talking about something and she said 'You should call Dr.House." And I laughed and said 'yeah, I wish House was real!' and then all of a sudden she randomly said 'you know, Chris from Coldplay looks like Hugh Laurie.' :stunned: Oh my God, I don't know how she knows all this stuff!! And how does she know Hugh Laurie plays House?!? She surprises me so much sometimes....

Last night at the concert when they performed Lost! I actually thought of my sister because she really loves that song....:nice:

this is so cute Annie ! :nice: I'm proud of your sister even if i dont know her :P

I was looking for papers in my desk this afternoon when I found an old planner that I used to have in highschool. It made me smile and giggle when I noticed it was covered of random Coldplay lyrics written all over it. :nice:

Thanks Chavi! I know, I almost teared up because I thought it was so adorable of her. :D

Haha I do that all the time, I always write Coldplay lyrics in my school notes in pretty cursive. :D And draw accompanying pictures, haha!

Eeee another Coldplay thought! haha So today I wore this Coldplay shirt I got at the concert; it's black with their faces on it from the studio and the back says VIVA LA VIDA. Anyways, I went to Old Navy today to buy some clothes for work, and I was coming out of the fitting room and one of the girls that work there looks at my shirt and says, "Is that Coldplay?!" And I answered yes and she said "You saw them in concert?! Where they good? That's so cool!" :D And she seemed really excited about it too. Haha. And THEN I went to the checkout to pay and the girl there looks at my shirt and says "You went to see them on Friday? I went too!" And I was so shocked it was so great, we talked for a little bit about the concert and it turns out both of us sat near the band when they came into the crowd to play! And then the other girl from the fitting room came out and turned to the girl at the checkout and asked "You went too?!" and they were talking about it as well. Gosh, it was so cool! The cashier at Old Navy went to the concert as well! :D Oh, and she said she got the exact same shirt as me hehe.
