  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

i think jonny always wears a hat cause hes LOSING HES HAIR............but i could be wrong and hopefully i am:(

ok, so on saturday night, i flew from JFK to london and then amsterdam. for the JFK to london part of the trip, i got first class and VIP access because my mom's best friend's husband is the vice president of british airways. the entire thing was SOO nice and mindblowingly fancy, but also a little weird. anyway, i got this person assigned to me at JFK that followed me around and escorted me places (which was REALLY weird), but she does that for all the famous people. she took me to the concorde room, which is like this freakishlt fancy first-class passenger lounge for VIPs, and said "oh, yes, all the celebrities come in here, from mother theresa to madonna. i'm just sorry that there's no one famous here now." i said "oh, that's ok, but it's just that my favorite band is in new york now, and it would have been hilarious if they were here when i was."

she asked me "oh, who's your favorite band?"

i said "coldplay." she looked as though the name stirred something in memory, so i elaborated: "you know, chris martin, the one married to gwyneth paltrow?"

her face lit up.

"ohh, them!! yes, they gave a concert on monday, right? such nice people, and what cute kids! yes, they were here on sunday; they sat right here."

and i looked like this: :dead:

i know it's not like i met them or anything, but...THE SAME ASSISTANT WAS ASSIGNED TO CHRIS AND GWYNETH THAT WAS ASSIGNED TO ME. :freak:

i videochatted with my mom last night, and she said that after this assistant lady escorted me onto the plane and then came back, she talked to my mom some more. she said that on that sunday when she was with chris and gwyneth and the kids at JFK (:dead:), chris thought she was so nice that he OFFERED HER FREE MSG TICKETS. i guess that's not too surprising, but this lady, terry, couldn't go because she had a foot doctor appointment. and apparently chris said something like "foot doctors. why does everyone older than me have to go to the foot doctor? thank god i can wear trainers to work so i might avoid that problem." so terry gave the tickets to her son and his friend :bigcry:

i just kind of wonder what i would have done if on the way to the VIP room, terry told me that there were two celebrities in there, saying something like "do you know the actress gwyneth paltrow? she and her husband are there now." i think i would have fainted for the first time in my life. which would have been bad, because we were on an escalator :P. it really wouldn't have been THAT far-fetched, because the today show performance was only the day before. but i would think that chris and gwyneth might be in the hamptons now, taking a few days off (where i just was...)

but really. imagine walking into a nice, almost completely empty room with couches and TVs and a bar...and chris and gwyneth and apple and moses are in there. what the HELL would i have done?! wet myself and then oggled at them, probably.

:stunned:

am i completely out of my mind if i say this makes me want to work at airports !!!

oooh another random thought, this one really random.

i'm in holland right now, FYI. and the dutch word for "applesauce" is "applemoes."

in my mind, that's pronounced "apple-moses" :P

oh my god.

i'm officially the worst coldplay fan in the world.

i'm currently staying at my aunt's house and vegas and we were shopping at k mart last night. and since i got quite a lot of money from my mum i decided to finally buy "VLVODAAHF" because i was pretty broke before. so i placed it in the shopping cart and my sister and i ended up losing my aunt and my mum. so when we got out they've already paid for everything and i was just going to hand the 16$ to my mum when i looked at the receipt and realised that nobody noticed that there was a cd in the shopping cart. lol. hahaha. so... basically i unintentionally stole that album.

oh fuck. i feel slightly horrible. hahaha. oh my. can't believe what happened.

well, i paid more than 50 euro for a concert ticket...they might as well give me their music for free. hahaha. nah, i still feel like a total douche. sorry about that. i know a bunch of you would've gone back to the cashier. but i wasn't even there when my mum paid. so i'll just blame her... hahaha.

well, and i wore my coldplay shirt yesterday (oh, sweet irony) and i went to three different shops and everytime the cashier asked me about coldplay. they were like, @oh they're coming to town!' and they asked if i was going to see them and i asked back and blah. and one of them said her husband was heavily into coldplay and all that. pretty funny. i thought coldplay wasn't that big in the us.

COLDPLAYS HUGE IN THE US!!

and that was HILARIOUS Grace! :laugh3:

Anyone know why the CD was not released in a plastic case? It's okay in the cardboard one,but it aint going to last too long......

plastic sits in landfills for thousands of years. paper breaks down easier. nuff said.

I fail to see how it could end up in a landfill....I am not going to buy it and then throw it away....

Well i guess if we look 20 or 30 years into the future it could be apply..:p

On another note...it's much better than i expected it too be,i can't stop playin it....

^thats pretty random, yet as true as can be

viva "Viva la Vida"!

ive been seeing the number 42 EVERYWHERE

i feel like im going slightly nuts o_O

Lately I've been something really odd. I'll stop what I'm doing and run off to listen to the new album. Like if I'm with someone and they'll say something like, "Lost" or "world" I'll be like "gotta go!" and go listen to the album! :P It's crazy.

And a lot of people are telling me they like the new album. Like all of my friends who hated them before. [And I thought X&Y was the mainstream album... just kidding!]

Same for me. Many of my friends say they like Coldplay's new album and especially Violet Hill.

quite literally, THE first thing i saw upon getting off the train in amsterdam centraal train station today was this:

and the first thing i saw upon coming back home to rotterdam centraal train station?

made me quite happy :nice:

ohhh that's great :D

I went shopping after I finished work yesturday and literally, every shop I went into had either just started playing a coldplay song or just finished one! Only one of the shops was playing the album VLV and the other all had radios on. Then I got home, put tv on and a music channel was on and, yes, coldplays 'violet hill' was half way through! I had a really rubbish day at work and have an outbreak of eczema on my face, which has really stressed me out, so it did put a smile on my face!!!

at work, i always hear either Viva La Vida or Violet Hill :D

& when i went shopping yesterday, i always go out to the street level mall entrance and point to the huge Coldplay poster over HMV and say "it's COLDPLAY!!!" to whoever im with LOL, as if i haven't seen the poster before =P

I've been in a total Parachutes mood for the past week or two. It's not my favorite album [don't hit me!] but I'm appreciating it a lot more lately.
