So yesterday I was trying to find a certain radio station before bed and thought I found it. So I left it on.

 

And I was like woah they are playing some great stuff. They played some REM, they played Black Hole Sun, among other great songs.

 

And I was like woooah. Then they had a station identification and I was like what this isn't even my normal radio station. Apparently it's a new one. So I was like cool, then they played Viva La Vida. And I was like woo! Totally sold.

hmm... i had a bottle of water cuz i was thirsty and it was really cold and then i started singing "cold, cold water, bring me round... now my feet won't touch the ground..." That was my Coldplay moment of the day!!!

^^i like to announce that i'm drinking water by saying things such as, "i'm drinking a GLASS OF WATER." then i sing "what are we drinking when we're done? glasses of water..."

my sisters think i'm annoying. :P

i kind've recruited my sister. after the two coldplay concerts we went to together, she actually listens to them by herself now!! i call that an accomplishment, seeing that the other artists on her ipod are britney spears and mariah carey. :dozey:.

Have a little rant about my mom. She wanted me to implement correct album names in her iTunes library, when I stumbled upon all the Coldplay stuff I gave her that she deleted! I asked her, and she said she got rid of all the stuff she didn't like! Understandable at first, until you see what she took off:

- Everything's Not Lost

- We Never Change

- Every AROBTTH song except Clocks, Politik, Daylight, and God Put a Smile

- Swallowed in the Sea

- Cemeteries of London

- Death and All His Friends

 

I can understand a couple, but not liking stuff like Everything's Not Lost, The Scientist, Amsterdam, etc. makes me not believe I'm related to her. :stunned::confused::laugh3:

And they mess up the beginning so Tom goes "I've messed it up, I'm gonna start over."

 

Then Jo goes "Aww, It's okay, we love messing up. Jack Johnson (whom I also love) messed it up just the other day." *inaudible* :P "Yeah, you can mess up but you can't swear"

 

And then Tom goes "We're not Coldplay!"

 

I was amused lol.

Friday, there was spring concert at my high school. I already knew that there were some who were going to play "Fix You" and I thought both "Ooh, yay Coldplay! I feel honored. :surprised: :P" and "Oh no... :sick: They probably mess it up" when I saw it on the program. Anyway I was with low expectations and tempted to walk out if they killed it. And they did. :sick: They were SO bad! They didn't know the lyrics right and they even had to start it over! :shame: I felt so embarrassed. People were just kind of laughing with them, when they made mistakes. :shame: I felt so bad. I should have walked out, but I didn't (I'm not such a big drama queen :P). The guitar and drums actually did pretty well when they came in, but the rest... :sick: I did not applaud.

 

At by big sister's birthday I gave her a copy (I know :shame:) of every Coldplay album (because she's going with me to the Wembley gig the 19th, so she has to know some :P). Yesterday she tried to call my mother, but I picked up the phone. She said "Can you hear it?". Swallowed in The Sea was playing in the background. :D I said that I love that song. She said that she likes it too and thinks it's really good. :happy: She was listening to the Coldplay CD's I had given her! :nice: Good sister. :smug:

I never realized that Live 2003 had those extra online features. So I'm looking through them and it's awesome.

 

Then I get to the AROBTTH single cover and holy shit. My mind is freaking blown. That's the coolest thing I've ever seen or read. I've always thought those covers looked amazing, but man, I never knew it was actually the band. Clock is especially brilliant. I always thought Clocks didn't quite fit in cause it didn't have a face, but boy was I ever wrong. Wow.

No, she's really not. In fact she said that she found Coldplay a little boring and thought that Chris didn't hit the high notes (that pissed me off of course) when I was becoming a fan. (You can see how hurt I was by it by that I still remember it, right? :P)

She's doing me a favor, really, because I'm not allowed to go alone. But it seems like she likes them now and she listens to the albums, so that's a good thing.

 

I hope (of course) that the show September the 19th will be the best - I think it deserves to be as it was the show of the two that got announced first. There will also be more people at that concert because of that.. :D

I had, like, a religious experience the other evening.

 

I was just sitting in bed listening to music and thinking about life, etc etc, and then a bunch of pre-Viva era Coldplay songs came on and I started crying for NO reason. It was really emotional. :thinking: It just reminded me so much of my life and some things my friend is going through. I didn't really think I'd ever react so emotionally to music before that. The lyrical imagery was really, really beautiful. Coldplay is such a great band. :wacky:

 

Then Viva La Vida played and it was ruined. T_T But it's all good. :nice:
