Discovered two new coldplay fans in Photography class today! We freaked out about the Paradise video, Guyphant, Florida concerts and Mylo Xyloto! It was great! They my friend said(about me)

"She's OBSESSED with Coldplay"

and one of the fangirls was like "Who doesn't!?"

If you were to ask my cousins, they would recall, that when I first got my copy of AROBTTH, I told them to not even breathe on it! Haha :lol:

 

I hear that! My first copy of Parachutes went everywhere I did for about a year. I played it to death and had to replace it, but I still have it because it's that special to me. :)

hallo all, just wondering when did the band drop ENL from the setlist? I haven't watched them live since I saw them at Oxegen and I saw the setlist for rock in rio and noticed it wasn't there. :(

In yesterday's free paper MetroXpress there was an article about Coldplay (but no review of new album - that will come on Monday or Tuesday).

 

The paragraphs in the article started with M-Y-L-O X-Y-L-O-T-O.

 

M(aybe the new album will be the last Coldplay album - based on Chris Martin's interview with the magazine Billboard during the summer - but new optimism when the singer visited BBC's Radio One where he called Coldplay a close-knit band).

 

Y(ellow - giving Coldplay their great breakthrough in 2000 - title inspired by the yellow telephone book / "the YELLOW pages" - if it had been an issue of "Playboy" laying around that song might have been titled "Playboy" instead - "Yellow" is still one of Coldplay's most popular songs being on NME's recently published list of the 150 best songs from the latest 15 years).

 

L(ighed = equality about Coldplay being a democracy and sharing their income equally and having an equal say in Coldplay-related matters / no hard drugs - fired if taking hard drugs).

T(itle of the new album - the Oracle thinks that "Mylo Xyloto" might be the name of an Alien - "Mylo" is latin for "something falling apart", and "Xyloto" is a kind of insects - so the title might be about sticking together in difficult times).

 

O(slo - Nordic fans gathering in Oslo on 4 November - 4 exclusive special concerts to be held in 4 cities - the fans can win tickets via competitions). Danish TV2 ZULU will broadcast the concert later in 2011. :dance:

 

 

 

The Danish newspaper Ekstra-Bladet wrote a review of Mylo Xyloto on Friday (21 October 2011). **** out of ****** ( 4 out of 6). "Coldplay are no rock pioneers", but the band is always good at making good songs so sing-alongs guaranteed also at future Coldplay concerts. (At least 2 of the U songs were mentioned - I think it was Up in Flames and Us against the world). But relatively favourable review. Written as I recall the review.
