I celebrated wear your codplay shirt day with a bang. I started the day with life in technicolor shirt, then after buying the cd from target I got the runningman shirt it came with, I wore it as soon as I opened it :D, and now im wearing my christmas gig elvis coldplay shirt! :P

 

I now have a total of 5 coldplay shirts! :D

I might wear the target shirt again tomorrow for school :lol:

 

Oh and I need to start washing my christmas gig shirt by hand its beginning to fade:(

RCT: Non-Coldplay friends on FB seem to think MX is brand new to me, so they keep inboxing me youtube vids,lol. It's very sweet of them. Like getting Christmas cards to celebrate release week. :D

In yesterday's free paper MetroXpress there was an article about Coldplay (but no review of new album - that will come on Monday or Tuesday).

 

The paragraphs in the article started with M-Y-L-O X-Y-L-O-T-O.

 

M(aybe the new album will be the last Coldplay album - based on Chris Martin's interview with the magazine Billboard during the summer - but new optimism when the singer visited BBC's Radio One where he called Coldplay a close-knit band).

 

Y(ellow - giving Coldplay their great breakthrough in 2000 - title inspired by the yellow telephone book / "the YELLOW pages" - if it had been an issue of "Playboy" laying around that song might have been titled "Playboy" instead - "Yellow" is still one of Coldplay's most popular songs being on NME's recently published list of the 150 best songs from the latest 15 years).

O(slo - Nordic fans gathering in Oslo on 4 November - 4 exclusive special concerts to be held in 4 cities - the fans can win tickets via competitions). Danish TV2 ZULU will broadcast the concert later in 2011. :dance:

I bought Mylo Xyloto today, but my head being tired after a busy day I have not yet listened to it, but I already know many of the songs.

 

Nor have I followed the many interviews in the radio. I have read some reviews on Coldplaying.com and in Danish newspapers.

 

Danish papers BT and Berlingske Tidende were both in favour of the new album: ***** out of ****** (5 out of 6)

 

Danish papers Ekstra-Bladet and MetroXpress: **** out of ****** (4 out of 6)

 

 

Danish free paper Urban: ** out of ****** (yep - 2 out of 6)

 

 

MetroXpress called Mylo Xyloto Coldplay's best record. Berlingske Tidende thinks that Mylo Xyloto is the best album since Parachutes (I do not agree). My album ranking: A Rush of Blood to the Head, Viva la Vida ...., X&Y / Parachutes and Mylo Xyloto (even though I like all the melodies on the album, but not the lyrics).

 

I have always been listening to the melodies rather than the lyrics which in Coldplay's case is a good thing - with a few exceptions like Viva la Vida, the Scientist, Clocks and a few more.

My day consisted of working 8 hours and listening to 2 Coldplay interviews from UK radio stations. Can't wait to watch the live stream for the Madrid gig tomorrow :heart:

My day consisted of me walking up for school two hours late and missing both of Coldplay's radio appearances today. :/

 

I seriously hope someone rips the Madrid gig, because I have Chorale practice in the afternoon tomorrow.

I know it'll be playing back, but I want to save it for posterity on my iPod. :D

I was talking to my Calculus teacher today about the new album, and he's the one that brought up the subject. :D

 

He was playing Coldplay during class and after school during tutoring. :awesome:

I'm having lots of lectures about Graffity during this whole semester and it wasnt even by my choice!

HLH keeps playing in my head during those and it actually makes sense with the anthropological interpretations about the theme.
