^ Aww, nice! They played Trouble while I was at a restaurant the other day too. Everyone at my table was very kind to let me listen to it whilst they sat in silence. Later we had a conversation about Coldplay, like what Coldplay fans call themselves. Do Coldplay fans call themselves by any other name?

  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

I think there are always other states of mind we often do not entertain beacause they are so emotionally intense and unusual, but I'm glad Coldplay provides a channel for this energy to resonate within.

I like the variations - from high to low; from reflective to extroverted; always with layered meanings... Although it's more commercial, I like Speed of Sound for it's grand sound.

i've always thought it was great that they're on the Sunday Times rich list coz they make their money on their music not for advertising stuff like Coke. where as celebs like Beyonce make a lot of their money from advertising shampoo. it just shows how great their music is i guess :smug:

I was shopping at Trader Joe's with my mom. (Anyone know that store? It's the awesomest health food store ever!!)

Well, story goes, they have yummy samples there everyday. And the guy giving out the samples noticed my iPod shuffle around my neck. He asked, "What are you listening to?" I bluntly said, "Coldplay." and he nodded in reply, "That works-- That works..."

lol. :D

Oh-- And whoever mentioned it-- The word "coldplay fan" can also be "coldplay addict". ;P

i totally know trader joes!! my school is right near one. what state do you live in? theyre only around here (CT, NY) i believe...

today i was at work (im a camp counselor for an educational camp) and the classroom across the hall was listening to the radio very loudly. then i heard some familiar sounds...clocks came on! i hung out by the door for the entire duration of the song so i could hear it better. the kids were giving me strange looks as i danced and mouthed along. it really made me happy though. its ridiculous how happy an unexpected coldplay song can make you!!

i was watching all the music videos the other night and realized that in my opinion, the songs sound the best when theres something visual to go along with them, even when its a crappy video like "the hardest part". i cant say im a fan of that vid. but music videos are love, basically.

Last month I was having surgery to take my appendix out, and the surgeon was telling me there was an extremely small chance I could die during the surgery. The first thought that went through my head when he told me was "If I die, I'll never hear Coldplay's fourth album!"

I'm glad to be alive.

^ Now that's being a Coldplay fan!

Yesterday I was in Dick Smith's Electronics buying my new mobile phone and the store was first playing a song by Snow Patrol and then they started to play What If by Coldplay! I was with two of my friends and I was like "they're playing Coldplay!" My friend Darren was like "his voice is deeper in this" and I'm like "his voice is deep in a lot of songs". Some people...

Also, on Backyard Blitz today they played Clocks. Cool.

I live in Nevada. And I know two different Trader Joes around where I live. http://www.traderjoes.com/index.html I guess you're not the only state! :P

i had a dream the other night that coldplay was giving their first concert off of the new album. i didnt hear any music, but the album was called "Advent" and it was written in the coldplay font in white on a black background over the stage.

i like the new "possible" album title better than "prospekt", though: "a new finding." even though i really really dont think either will be the title.

i have the 4th album on the brain. that and harry potter.

the teacher i work with at the summer school thing i teach at likes to torture me and our students with country music, which i despise. i told him that next year or whenever i get my own class, im going to play my OWN music, which is probably coldplay. he looked up at me and was like, "oh, them? i havent heard enough of their stuff to decide if i like them. would i like them?" i really didnt think he would, but i told him to check them out.

also, last night at 3 in the morning coming home from the harry potter movie premeire, my friend put on "the scientist" in the car because she said it felt appropriate after sirius dying. then it was followed by "green eyes," which also reminded me of harry potter.

this morning we had rain so I was looking for a hat or something to cover my had and in our family old stuf I found a black cap with a "DON´T PANIC" sign on it!:p´NOW IT´S MINE!:D

i just went back from Hong Kong and i saw this "High Speed" at hotel...:rolleyes:p1020757js7.jpg

"a message" was playing when i walked into lowes hardware the other day. and yesterday my friend's sister's cell phone rang, and the ringtone was nelly furtado's "all good things," which of course made me think of chris.

not many coldplay moments recently...

The other day VH1 played the episode of Storytellers that had Coldplay on it. I'd never seen it before so I stayed up to watch it (it was on from 12.00 midnight until about 1.00am) - it was funny, I liked it.

i'd call it....... SUBLIMINAL LEVEL ! lol

I MISSED THE FIRST HALF OF STORYTELLERS AGAIN! And from what I did watch, the channel kept freaking out on me. :(

It was in HD, too.

Oh goodness. Are they ever going to release it on DVD?

I mean, really....if you don't like the band, fine.

But is it necessary to spend all your waking hours proclaiming so?

SOME people are in DIRE need of lives!

Someone asked me recently " What do you think of We Never Change, it's by Coldplay but I'm sure you already knew that!" Um of course I did. haha. I told them it was an excellent choice and a fine example of older CP simplicity. :)

Somehow the background music in a TGI Friday's commercial reminds me of 'Ode To Deodorant'.
