Well, today the mother of a classmate of mine came to me and said something about my green eyes and guess what came out into my head? :nice: I started to sing the song and some parts of the song is coming out like every 20 minutes... :P

  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

was in the apple store again today (jesus i practically live in there) and they have all these HDTVs set up to advertise iTV or whatever its called. well, what music video comes up but "speed of sound"? it was AMAZING in hi def, like incredible. id never seen the guys in hi def before, only on my normal tvs and ipod screen and computer screen. well, and in person too, but even though i was close enough to be sprayed by chris sweat the first time, it wasnt like i could see every detail of his face.

so anyway, that made my day. i was drooling.

^Wow, that's fantastic!!! :stunned:

I remember when I went to Apple and then they were showing a small video in order to explain how could you manage the ipod and then in the middle of the video, the guy picked clocks from the list... :nice: I know it's not related to the topic but I remembered about it by your post... :)

Random off/topic from Apple stores:

Chris' crazy dancing...!

Has anyone ever tried to imitate his dance moves? :D LOL, I have failed miserably and fell doing the spinning on one foot move thing. Yea. Heh. He's so energetic! Pisces are like that tho... =P

^ lol, I know. It's like anybody else who attempts to do it looks ridiculous. =P

somehow he manages to look cool acting like a complete fool. before i even listened to music or coldplay, i saw him in the clocks video and was like "i like the way this chris guy moves" and then when i saw speed of sound a few years later...it was his dancing (and the song) that first sold me.

watched the toronto concert last night again. i have to say, i like live 2003 better, but for different reasons.

12 coldplay songs are on my top 25 playlist on itunes

So all day yesterday I was at Relay For Life, which is where people walk for the cancer cause. At night they light up all these luminaries and put them around the track, and it's a very emotional and sad time, because you read all the names of people who passed away from cancer that are related to the people who participated. It's really sad, and the DJ played slow, more sad songs for the mood. And he played Coldplay twice! He played Til Kingdom Come first, then later on Fix You. I was hoping that he played The Scientist, but I can't complain.

While Til Kingdom Come was playing, I turn to my friend and said 'Oh my God, it's Coldplay! I love them!' Then she says 'oh that's Mr. Clifford's favorite band.' He's this really cute teacher that my friend has, and she's in love with him. Haha She told me how he even played Coldplay in class one day! Lucky ducks!

I went to this sleepover last night and we played karaoke! :nice: She had the one with Speed of sound on it!!! I battled my friend with the highest score for Speed of sound- and I beat her! I didn't even have to look at the lyrics!!! :smug:

:D

^ Is that the PlayStation Sing Star thing? I've played that twice before... The first time I had a sore throat and I'd never played before so my friends beat me but the second time I did better. One day, hopefully, I will be able to win by many more points.

i heard SUCH a rip-off of "clocks" on a chrysler seabring commercial. i thought it WAS clocks, but then was like "coldplay would never do that" and i heard that they changed like, one note. jeez. :\

there is a song on a citibank commercial, though, that sounds pretty coldplayish. i actually really like the song, which got me thinking: I think it would be kinda cool for an artist to put a song on a TV show or commercial or movie without telling the public theyre going to do it and have everyone recognize the voice or something. i know if coldplay did that, i would DIE of a heart attack when i heard the song.

For only this week I had to go to my social studies class in a different room, and the teacher of that room has this big Coldplay poster in her classroom. :)

It makes me smile everytime I look at it.

^ Wow, you're lucky. =P I rarely get to see any signs of Coldplay-ness in my school. >.> There are quite a few people who don't like Coldplay though... *grrrrr* *bites their heads off*

Do you know which poster it was? :P

ive been on wikipedia all day and i found out a lot of stuff about coldplay that i didnt know:

-on the album version of fix you, only will and chris sing, even though they all sing live. [this makes me sad; i loved thinking that they all sang]

-the scientist alludes to a short story by nathaniel hawthorne called "the birthmark"

-chris apparently puts an apple on his piano sometimes when he plays "what if" live, maybe its written for apple

-its possible, with high quality versions, to watch the talk video in 3D if yo have 3D glasses.

-in a never-broadcasted version of "the hardest part" video, theres a cameo from chris's dad!

today i figured out that the live version of "the world turned upside down" is NOT THE SAME AS THE B-SIDE (thank you wikipedia) and downloaded this alternate version. i dont know why i didnt figure this out before.

i also saw the UK trouble video of the first time ever on youtube and i LOVE IT. the sound didnt match with the video in that copy, though, so it was off, but that may be my second fave coldplay vid EVER. its tragically hilarious that jonny and will are abusing guy. im searching high and low for a downloadable copy to put on my ipod. oh god, i LOVE it.

i learned a hell of a lot about my favorite band today. i love wikipedia.

i also laughed out loud to the talk video. i was in hysterics for some reason. it totally killed me.

i haven't had a 'Coldplay-fix' in a looooooooooooong time!

it's been forever since i've been on the boards...:\

oh dude! I hear rip of clocks everywhere. O.o

"well, we're not allowed to use the actual song, so let's use a blatent rip off."

:laugh3:

In My Place is in rotation at work. haha. I like to hear it. Been ages.

Went to kareoke with two of my friends last night (we had our own room, it wasn't a public room) and we put on The Scientist and then Speed of Sound later on. In The Scientist they had a different person singing and a different videoclip and some words weren't quite right. Then, in Speed of Sound there was just the words on the screen - no video or voice - but they stuffed up a few words as well. They had the lyrics as "And Earth's gone flying at the speed of sound to show you how it all began". I mean, really, Earth? All they had to do is go to the official site or to any fan site and they could have gotten the correct lyrics.

Maybe I'm just a really picky/fussy fan, but that kinda annoyed me.

It was this one:

But flipped up. :P

^ I haven't seen that poster before! I like that one. :D It would really distract me in class though... I'd just stare at it for most of the period.

:laugh3: Earth's gone flying at the speed of sound.

HAHAHAHA... Did you sing it the proper way instead? I would have.

I watched the UK trouble vid three times on youtube today. its a bit screwy because the song doenst match up with the video at all and chriss mouth is always a few lines behind the music, but im ridiculously obsessed with that video.

and shiver has usurped yellow as my most-listened-to song. ive listened to shiver 242 times, yellow 238 times, and warning sign 227 times in itunes/on my ipod. thats not counting on CD or vinyl, either! actually, my top 13 most listened-to songs are all coldplay, and the 14th is "marching bands of manhattan" by death cab for cutie, and then the next tier of numbers are mixed coldplay and beatles.

Yeah, I sang it properly. I was only glancing at the screen every now and then anyway.
