Not really random, but I just learned they'll be on Q on CBC next week. I've been wanting to hear Jian Gomeshi interview them since he went on air. He's a great interviewer who asks intelligent questions, and I think Chris will enjoy it immensely!:D

I am usually not a big fan of singing competition shows but I have really gotten into the US version of the X-Factor. I was pleasantly surprised when my favorite contestant Drew sang Fix You during the live show on Wednesday. I think she did a great job, check out the video below:

i have this weird feeling that nobody can cover coldplay properly, cause their songs are so intimate and you know coldplay-ish for me, that no other artist can deliver the same feeling/emotions. though I always approve the attempt of the singer to cover coldplay, as i assume it´s because of their love/respect to the song or the band

I agree with @tamunia, I usually don't like Coldplay songs' covers because they're too unique to give me any emotions when sang and played by someone who's not the band...

But I have to say that this cover is great, and it did give me goosebumps, it never happens to me with covers. If only the audience shut up! And if only it was a bit longer!

I agree, Coldplay is so much different from everyone else that they can't be covered by anyone and they can't cover anyone.

 

But I do think that this cover is the best cover of any song by any band.

Yesterday I was having a walk and I walked near a bar that was playing some music when suddenly I heard a very familiar guitar riff. I listened to it with more attenetion and.... it was Charlie Brown! :awesome:

It really made my day :)
