I don't, however, like Radiohead (only a couple of songs).

They are uncharismatic and dead inside, and they should stick with songwriting and producing cos they truly suck at performing.

(But they are good musicians tho).

This rant is inspired by Radiohead worshiping hipster critics, and Coldplay critics in general.

I have not read a single Coldplay review without someone mentioning U2 or Radiohead.

OK, we get it, they sound familiar, just like millions of artists sound like millions of others.

But these constant comparisons they point out every single time are kinda getting sick.

But look on the bright side. Since around 2004, those same critics have compared newer bands to Coldplay,lol. They'll always compare. Just a sad state of not having an imagination.

I've only watched and downloaded the MX show from Madrid and the Twisted Logic show from Toronto so far.

So I want to download the professionally filmed shows from other tours... Mostly VLV, but the previous two also if there are simmilar quality recordings.

 

Help please! The MM subforum is a mess. :D So if you can just post 1 (VLV) or all 3 links (all 3 tours) from MM here I'd owe you big time!

They have one officially released tour DVD. Live 2003 is a live CD/ DVD of Rush of Blood to the Head tour. Go check it out! It's awesome!

I'm lazy, so I'm going to somewhat quote my own Twitter to share random Coldplay thoughts (I usually post them there).

 

 

One evening the shops in my city were open late for Christmas shopping, so I was in a shopping street. I heard Coldplay blasted loudly from a speaker in the shopping street; Hurts Like Heaven. I suddenly got chills all over. It was AMAZING. Lots of people in the street, a child and her mum danced to it walking by, christmas lights above the street... It was beautiful. I just stood there miming the lyrics, taking in the atmosphere until the song ended. I was having a hard time too, so it really brightened up my day.

It gets better: H&M played HLH too the same evening! What's up, it's not even a single!

 

One morning my mum submitted her music wish for local radio on my old island (the place I've grown up) - Christmas Lights. They played it. ♥

After the news break they played The Pogues "Fairytale of New York", which is another great Christmas song and Will's and Chris' favourite.
