The Accident was caused by a tyre blowing out.

How could you have predicted that, how could you have accounted for a tyre blowing out?

It was an accident, even with every angle covered by what if's, you can't predict a tyre blow out.

And if they take off top gear, they will have to take of fifth gear which is worst for promoting speeding.

I love top gear........haha oh always watch it when i have the chance

its funny :D:D

have you heard about how the Richard guy has got brain-damage or something from crashing a dragster or something...???

Well I can quite easily tell you that I'm not watching it for the cars!! Its the other slots they do which have got me watching. Think the first time I flicked through and stopped was when they were racing each other from a to b but had to rely on sat nav to get them there. It was so hilarious, particularly Jeremy's face as he watched one of the other two win because his sat nav had tried to take him through a road which had been closed at one end.

I find the comparisons of the expensive cars interesting, but as I'm never going to be able to afford the insurance on one let alone the car itself, those slots don't hold my attention so much. Half the fun of those bits is finding out what weird and wonderful sarky comment Jeremy will use next.

yeah! What if it IS albie? jenjie?

hopefully, he hasn't reached as far as there yet!! if it is, maybe it'll get deleted quicker than the ostrich

"The buy a coupe for under £1500 which isn't a posche challenge", that was a very good challenge set with James breaking down outside Oxford.

my other favoruite was when they bought really low sports cars and were racing them from a garage in Paris to Switzerland or somewhere like that. the first hurdle was getting one of the cars out of the garage as they couldn't get it down the curb. caused a traffic jam on the street whilst they manouvered bits of wood underneath the front

That wasn't a race, that was a cruise to see a bridge in the south of france.

And yes it was funny seeing them working out how to get the cars out of the underground carpark.

:( I hope that it is not axed...i would go as far as to say that it is the best show in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the show, but the guys in hospital because of it, so i dont think its nice to show it whilst hes still in there. Leave it for a few weeks at least.

Well all the repeats on sky has been taken off the air until Richard gets better as a mark of tribute.

Will be interesting to see if they do the the same over here...

BBC's Top Gear 'will not be axed'

RichardHammond1PA_228x353.jpgRemarkable recovery: Richard Hammond is making good progress

Top Gear is to resume filming today two weeks after Richard Hammond's crash.

The BBC show was put on hold when Hammond suffered serious injuries while driving a jet-powered dragster.

But presenter Jeremy Clarkson is back in the driving seat this morning, test-driving a Lotus Europa at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey.

The new series of the show was due to begin this Sunday but Hammond's accident caused it to be postponed.

A BBC spokeswoman said: "We remain committed to Top Gear and there was never any question of it being axed.

"It was postponed but filming will resume today at the Top Gear track."

Hammond, 36, is said to be delighted the show is back on. He is continuing his recovery from brain injuries sustained in the crash which nearly claimed his life.

The presenter was driving at speeds up to 300mph when the jet-powered Vampire dragster veered off the track at Elvington airfield, near York, on September 20.

The vehicle flipped over several times and crashed on the grass.

Hammond has been transferred to a hospital in Bristol and doctors predict he will be "back to his old self" within six months.

No transmission date has been set for the new series.

Excellent :)
