I've resorted to watching the matches on the spanish channel because I don't get ESPN2.

 

The England match today was pretty boring. But I liked the Sweden match.

yea, it was too boring! i nearly fell asleep while wacthing it! The paraguayan aint supposed to be that weak! i was expecting a great match, BUT...they really shouldnt have played that way!

Argentina look iffy at the back... and so do germany. There too many permetation for this early stage after the first 2 group games are over I will make a more confident prediction... but if I have to stick my neck out...

How can you say that performance was not bad? We were afraid to attack against Paraguay and our defenders (mainly Ferdinand) were pretty poorly positioned at times. While I agree its good we didn't concede, we didn't score either. We were lucky Gamarra gave us a goal, otherwise we wouldn't have won.

haha strange but i think exactly the same...though he was playing in Real Madrid (agghhhh...) but i was always enjoying his game. i remember back in 2002 when Leverkusen played against Madrid in the CL final (i was for Bayer then, haha) i couldn't believe my eyes when he scored Madrid's 2nd goal. it was something fantastic. he is a legend. he is one of Madrid players who i don't dislike (Raul is another)
