Yes, they only had one month and did not use TOTAL WAR. They held back most of their military! look how much damage a small amount of Israeli force did. They have hundreds of thousands of more troops they could have used, they only used a fraction of their military and look what they did, imagine their whole military on total war. they would win at a heavy cost though. Israel didnt fight dirty, it could have bombed everyone to kingdom come if it wished. You dont know much about military's and what they are capable. Ive studied their military and know what they are truly capable of. If Israel sent in their full force they and didnt care for human life they could kill anyone in their path. September 17, 200619 yr Need I remind you they still won the war. They've taken on many Arab nations and defeated them. One small battle won proves nothing, when they lost the whole war. You dont understand anything about war. Israel is better armed, trained, funded, and has a good size military with extremely smart commanders. Most arab army's lack all of that. Why couldnt anyone beat Israel in the war? The arab world has tried to invade and conquer Israel many times but loses everytime! i think that says alot.

September 17, 200619 yr I answered your question. they gave it back to ensure peace they only kept it at first as a buffer zone for protection once the peace treaty was signed they had no use for a buffer zone since Egypt was not going to attack again, making the Sinia useless to Israel.

They wanted to be prepared if Egypt did attack again. They added the Bar lev line to add to their defence, the more the better. the desert itself wouldnt be a bufferzone they'd need a military there. Civil projects? like what? examples...
