It's number one on my list too; you should definitely read it. For some reason I think you'd really like it.

Yeah I only really buy books if I a) Like the author or b) think the story would really appeal to me

 

It's a good method so far as I've loved every book I've read.

 

I only really got into fiction books recently, I used to just read science books, still do actually.

Yes, definitely read it. :) I also have a feeling you'll like it.

And if you end up liking it- then try "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky. The writing style is very similar, and it's an equally great book. :)
