People begged for years for Ode, and the only reason we got it was because there were what? 3-5 tapes that are floating around the world in the hands of collectors - one happening to be Corricopat who was gracious enought to get us all a copy.Ā With this new "revelation" I do not think it will ever see the light of day. How many copies of this supposed demo tape exist? 1?Ā Maybe Chris has one and maybe Debs has one, since Ode was the tape they sent out to get noticed. So possibly 2 copies. Does anyone actually think they will let those tapes go?Ā I hardly doubt it - petition or no petition. Ā Best case scenario - Debs will see this petition and 10 years from now when Coldplay puts out a boxset of their material or a retrospective cd or the band breaks up and EMI/Parlophone needs some cash - they will release this song to the public. It can probably get her in very deep water as well, putting an unreleased song (especially for free) out like that. I also thought it was known that Ode to Deodorant was not the first song written.. it's just the first song they released, along with Brothers and Sisters.Ā where did they find Phil for God sake? Maybe he confirmed it a long time ago? Though Phil and the boys still keep in touch, apparently. Chris talks a bit about him and how he contributes to the band in one of the Aussie interviews! :smiley:

August 7, 200619 yr Well, I doubt we'll ever hear it. To be honest, it kinda sucked that we heard Ode to Deodorant, because I kinda liked that secret about it, and the mistery.. And now that we all have it, that mistery is kinda gone. And I'm glad we have a new mysterious song now :P
