love the kasabian track 'club foot' a real rocking beat

the bees are good too

Buy Kasabians self titled album, you wont be dissapointed, some great tunes on it.

Processed Beats, Reason is Treason and Cut Off are great songs on it aswell

For me, the best albums are:

1. Be Here Now

2. Morning Glory

3. Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants

4. Don't Believe The Truth

5. Definitely Maybe

6. Heathen Chemistry

But when I start to listen to the tracks on random, the album order changes

Supergrass are amazing, but they haven't had that "breakthough" album which launches then into the main-mainstream.

can't wait to see oasis at the Noise & Confusion '05 gig in Cardiff on 10th December :)

anybody else going?

Kasabian ready to "rage in studio" with Oasis

With their month-long stint opening for Oasis in America coming to an end tonight at Atlantic City's House of Blues, British rockers Kasabian are just not ready to let go. "I'm holding on to every last inch I can grab," says frontman Tom Meighan. "We've had some great gigs, and some good nights. It's just been an amazing time for us."

The members of the Leicester five-piece chose to end the campaign for their self-titled debut, out last spring, by supporting their teenage heroes. Now mates with the infamous Gallagher brothers (singer Liam and guitarist/songwriter Noel), Meighan and Kasabian guitarist Sergio Pizzorno were even invited onstage during Oasis' set closer last week.

"Me and Serge did [a cover of the Who's] 'My Generation' with them," Meighan announces. "Not many people come onstage with Oasis, do they? It's a brotherhood! 'Soul brothers' is what Noel says." And as for frontman Liam, Meighan adds, "He's as mad as a hatter! Fucking nuts. But I understand exactly where he's coming from. I feel his vibe; I feel Noel's vibe. We're buzzing."

Offstage, Oasis, Kasabian and fellow openers Jet have indulged in some hotel shenanigans. "Late nights in the swimming pools," says Meighan. "Serge and Liam were going on a mad one, diving in the pool fully clothed, fucking going nuts."

Once they've dried off, Kasabian will head back into the studio to work on their second record, which they hope to have out next May. Jim Abyss (DJ Shadow, U.N.K.L.E.) will again produce, helping the boys refine the dozen tracks they've penned, including "The Stuntman" and "Shoot the Runner." According to Meighan, their time on the road has put a new spin on their sound. "Oasis and Jet have influenced [the music], man, of course," he says. "Just the sheer power of Oasis: You know it's them when you hear a song. It's massive, it's big, it's in your face. We want to get in the studio as soon as we can and write that monster second record."

Tonight though, Kasabian will be celebrating their final date of the tour in style. "We've been on the road twenty-two months, and to end it like this? With Oasis, the monsters of rock? It just doesn't come any better than that," gushes Meighan. "I've made friends for life in everyone here. There are many good times to come."

I love Oasis too. My husband is a huge fan. He's been to 20+ concerts. He actually meet Noel. He went to an after party in Montreal after a concert. He was there with 2 girls on both arms. We actually almost didn't get married over an Oasis concert. Funny story. Wanna hear it?

Oasis plan standalone single for 2006

The band hope to release a new tune in the new year

Oasis hope to release a new non-album single early next year.

The band are expected to release 'Let There Be Love' as their next single, but have said its follow-up might be a standalone effort.

"We haven't done it since 'Whatever'," Noel Gallagher told Xfm. "It depends if we get the time to go into the studio because we're pretty flat out until next March. We'll see what happens after that."

The song in question was written by Liam Gallagher but was omitted from recent album 'Don't Believe The Truth'.

"It's called 'The Boy With The Blues'... I think we're gonna put out just as a single, that's not gonna be on the next album," explained the guitarist. "That might be out for early next year, but I'm not sure yet."

Noel added they had plenty of other new material in hand, though he wasn't sure if it was destined for the band's next album.

"We've got about 11 pretty good songs for the next record that were left over from this one, but if we go into the studio I don't know if we're gonna go in there and say 'Right we're making an album'," he mused. "We're just going record the ones for this one that we didn't record in our own studio and see how it goes."

can't wait to hear this new track :)

Your husband is my God!!!!!!! I have to meet him!!!!!!! Never heard of someone like him!!!!!! I wanna hear your story!!!!!!

Let me give you alittle back ground. My husband and a group of his 10 closest friends have been going to Oasis shows for years. Ever since they were 16 and that was over 10 years ago. Just to give you and idea. So one night one of his buddies calls to tell him that Oasis is coming to MSG and they have to get tickets. From the time I met my husband we have been planning to go as soon as they went on tour again. So I assumed when he so excitedly told me about the concert that meant we were going togeather, or I'd tag along with the guys or whatever. Well as time went by I heard less and less about the show from him and eventually I had to ask what was going on with tickets. At that point he informed me that his friends had gotten them and there were only enough for him and his friends. I was absolutely heartbroken. I gave him so much shit for it until the very day of the concert. I didn't speak to him the week before he went and I wouldn't pick up his phone calls while he was there. I know it sounds harsh but I was crushed. They were also playing in Boston but we couldn't afford both shows then. So to make it up to me, the week after we got married he got us floor seats to see Coldplay at Madsion Square Garden togeather. Which was a really wonderful show and we had an amazing time, but he still owes me!!!!!

I actually started crying when he showed me pictures of the Oasis Show. How pathetic I know.

Oasis sign 6 figure deal with Toshiba

Oasis have inked a six-figure sponsorship deal with an electronics company to promote a new phone with exclusive new video and audio tracks from the Gallagher brothers.

The band will apparently make the video to their new single "Let There Be Love" available on the forthcoming music-based Toshiba 803 hand-set.

Customers who buy the hand-set will also get five exclusive video and audio tracks from their shows at the City of Manchester Stadium in the UK in July 2005.

According to reports, Toshiba will also sponsor the remainder of Oasis's live dates in 2005, which see the Manc rock'n'roll heroes play a string of shows across Europe, Japan and Australia.

Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has revealed that Oasis are set to release a brand new track not featured on this year's "Don't Believe The Truth", at the start of the 2006.

Speaking at last week's Q awards, Noel explained: "There's one song that Liam wrote that was left off (the album) called 'The Boy With The Blues' that I think we're gonna put out just as a single, that's not gonna be on the next album.

"That might be out for early next year, but I'm not sure yet," he said.

Oasis play the following dates in the UK later this year:

December 05

10 Cardiff, Millennium Stadium

12 Aberdeen, AECC

14+15 Glasgow, SECC

18+19 Belfast, Belfast Odyssey Arena

21 Dublin, The Point Depot

22 Dublin, Point Theatre

‘Let There Be Love’ will be the third single taken from Oasis’ double platinum selling album ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’. The album has already spawned two number one singles this year, ‘Lyla’ and ‘The Importance Of Being Idle’. In October it won Q Magazine’s prestigious Album Of The Year award and the People’s Choice Award.

The single is released on CD, DVD and 10” vinyl on 28th November 2005 on Big Brother Recordings. Recorded by renowned promo director Baillie Walsh it is a taste of a longer film to come, entitled “Lord Don’t Slow Me Down” and culminates in the spine-tingling new video for “Let There Be Love”.
