Brass Band?Didnt Chris mention a while back on that live recording of "The Water Flows Over" better known as "Solid Ground" that they would use a Big Brass band when they record it? Famous Old Painters is probably a completly different song but it looks like Chris gets to use the Big Brass band after all!

I get the feeling this will be a huge album, a brass band (My friend is gonna squeal when I tell her the new Coldplay album has French Horns in it, she loves french horns), five new songs, Chris not sleeping (more cofeeeeee), Latin influence, new sounds...

I'm confused. Why do people still think Prospekt is the album's name? I think it's pretty clearly a pseudonym for the person that's writing these entries... because you sign the end of an entry with your name, not an album title.

LOL. When I first saw the brass band comment I also thought of radiohead.

 

Well...if anything, this heightens anticipation to an excruciating level. Thanks to prospect I can sort of feel the anxiety of the Chris, Jonny, Guy and Will are going through with the inspiration/creativity meter on overload, and struggling to make each song live to it's full potential as fast as they can with a deadline breathing down their neck. and if that isn't tough enough... Chris seems to be creatively exploding from the inside. So with this being december and the album to be released early next year they have to give their undivided attention to each and every track but also some how sort through this huge load of new songs, one of which, if given their best effort, could easily become their most famous song since yellow.

Idk, I'm really excited for the new album, but it sounds to me like they are still kinda far from being done. They're still recording parts and chris is still writing new songs.....yea, I dont see this coming out for a good 6 months maybe more.

Already confirmed that the album will call Prospekt? or it will be "42" according to the rumors

I really think the album is going to be called Prospekt. i think leftrightleftrightleft (like marching...) was just a working title for the newly announced song "Prospekt's March." Now, just like the other three albums, there is a track that contains the album name.

hmm. very interesting theory on "leftright..." vs. "prospekt's march." i think you might have something there! :idea2:

but i personally dont think the entire album will be called prospekt. at least not now. i think they havent told us every single song that will end up on it, and one of those unknown titles will end up being the album title. i kind of hope im right, too, because i dont really think any of the song names would make a very good album title.

 

im going between thinking they're right on schedule for a march/april '08 release or thinking that we wont see anything until summer at the earliest. its like being bipolar or something :P

I agree with you. They've already mentioned that the new album will be consists of 9 songs (haven't they?) and will be 42 minutes long. But Chris is still writing new songs. :\ Will there be some changes in the songs list or the album length?

 

I see this as they don't not even make their mind up of the songs to be put on the album. And that means we will have to be more patient a little bit longer, I suppose.

I dont think the new songs Chris have written will be on the album, I think most of the recording would've been wrapped up with only mixing and stuff left so they wouldn't be able to afford putting brand new songs on at this stage. Though they could make great b-sides!

 

Argh, like most of you the antisipation is killing me.

This new news is just fantastic.I really hope they dont stilll take longer. But i honestley think this album will be not just the best Coldplay album but the best album OF ALL TIME.:cool:
