Im sorry but if that album title and track names are for real, coldplay has turned to shit, and fuck Brian Eno. How can they go from stuff like The Scientist and In My Place to names as pointless as Lost! Yes! leftrightleftright. All i have to say is WTF!!! :angry: I probably wont even buy the album. And wtf is this prospeckt crap, i'm still holding on to the hope that tells me these are fake names they put out so as not to leak anything. I hope.

i dont think we can pass any judgement whatsoever on the songs until we HEAR them, not just read the titles. i admit that when i first read them, i was kind of...not impressed, but theyre just NAMES. if i'd never heard "politik" as a song, among others, i would have thought the name was ridiculous, just as some of these may sound. lots of songs have crazy names and are still brilliant songs, which is all that matters.

 

so hopefully we wont have to wait much longer to work out whether these songs surpass their titles!

I don't care about the names, as long as the songs are awesome it doesn't matter to me.

Yeah, I agree. Who cares about the NAMES, most of their song names aren't that spectacular anyway. As long as it's the best thing i've ever heard then I'm satisfied. :D

I think you're just a little frustrated. It has been almost three years since X&Y and everyone's getting really antsy/anxious. I know that the 42 minute thing is worrying me, that's not enough! To go from 5 minute songs to roughly 2 minute ones will be...an experience. :confused:

its not going to be 2min songs that would fit 21 songs the cd is only 9 or 10 songs which means every song will be about 4-5 mins long ,some shorter some longer

I couldn't agree more. They're is more to it than the names of the songs...

Yea at first i was kinda skeptical about the names but they have kind of grown on me! But lets also remember that these are 10 or so songs that are up for consideration for the new album.Im sure they have more songs that they are considering putting on the final track listing.I personally dont think that the whole album will be made up of these 10 or so songs we know of.Chris is always writing songs and it was September when we heard about these titles.So they could have lots more different songs to choose from we dont know about!Shoot! they could be fake names and they might be pullin a fast one on us who knows!I guess we will just have to wait and see!

Actually, that's kinda feasible. If they were making up all this song information so far, I can see how they would get a kick out of referring to "Lost!"'s "hip-hop beat" or describing a seemingly-dark title like "Cemeteries Of London" as "handclap-laden."

Haha, im still cracking up at those song titles. They sound like some emo band's songs. Fall Out Boy...haha something like that.

 

I understand wanting to be unique and stuff, and the songs could be amazing, but the titles are way off. They could be more serious. It just reads as a joke. I hope it is actually.

All i can ask is:

 

"Cementeries of London" and "Violent Hill"?!?!?! That's too MCR for Coldplay I think....:o

You can't judge a band by the song titles...nor the amount of time. I have an album by a certain artist and its a mere 37 minutes long!! And aren't we forgetting, Parachutes was a mere 40-45 minutes long and it's one of their best loved albums!
