I understand you points. I was raised in church. I know people who grew up in church and became atheists. I believe that what happens is that sometimes "The Church" can be abusive (Not God), many churches are legalistic, too many non-sense rules that are non-biblical, prideful, arrogant, ect. I get it. However, that's NOT the way that Jesus really is, that's the way that those individuals behaved. They aren't obeying the bible by behaving that way. I understand that some people interpret the gospel at abrasive. Jesus warned that this would happen. Jesus was crucified for His message. 11 out of 12 of the disciples were martyred for it. Millions were murdered for it through history. By nature, the gospel is abrasive because it reveals the truth about mankind, that they are sinful and in need of a Savior. People don't like being told that they are sinful, but without the gospel, man would have to spend eternity in hell. So what's more loving? Warning people that they are lost and in need of a Savior or just not saying anything and allowing them to go to hell for all of eternity? I would want someone to tell me. Jesus Commands us to go out and spread the gospel to every creature. So, although I understand that many atrocities are committed in the name of Jesus, it's not Jesus's fault, because if you actually read the bible, it tells us to love our neighbors, not hate them. It tells us to honor all men and live peaceably with them. It tells us to love our neighbor as ourself. So those who don't do that are actually going Against God's word, the bible.

 

The other issue is that many don't know the evidence supporting Christianity. The schools, media, ect. have indoctrinated most, even many Christians. Since they never hear the evidence to the contrary, they are forced to conclude that the bible is wrong. The truth is that the actual evidence supports the bible. I would love to provide the evidence as the WHY I believe what I believe. I am willing to explore the evidence that I have for believing what I believe one topic at a time. Why the bible is true, how I know that there is a God, ect. Once you look at the ACTUAL evidence, you will be forced to conclude that the bible is true after all and evolution is nothing but a lie. The only reason it's taught in schools is because Creationism is considered relgious and evoltion is not. Evolution IS a religion however. It's atheism.

Evolution is not well substantiated. It's full of huge gaping, holes, hidden by evolutionists. So you believe that Jesus was beaten, crucified, lanced with a spear deep into His side to where bood and water came out, was able to convince the Roman gaurds who do this for a living AND would be put to death themselves if they failed at their job that He was dead, then was fine 3 days later? You're not making sense. The truth is that He died on the cross and rose from the dead. Yes that's impossible, but with God ALL things are possible. He's God in the flesh.

I have heard of this. The bible tells us that no one knows the hour of His coming, but we can know that it is near, even at the door. I believe that it is very near and at the door, but you can't set dates. That person is a false prophet because God would never go against His word.

I will begin with the fact that the coming of Jesus fulfilled hundreds of prophecies written of Him, hundreds of years before His birth. The Old Testiment was written between 1,500-down to 400 years before Christ's birth, depending upon which book you are referring to and Yet it made hundreds of predictions about Jesus and His life that were fulfilled in Him and couldn't have been fulfilled intentionally. Also, those in Jesus's day were expecting His arrival because of what they read in the scriptures. Due to their misinterpretation of the scritptures, they rejected Him and crucified Him.
