i'm excited for the new album, but i don't like this title. when i first found the article i was dissappointed with the title. I still think that Famous Old Painters would be a better album choice

Finally the new album title:) Viva la coldplay, famous old painters sounded better in my opinion but this title sounds still good

Interesting side note. I was watching Coldplay from Austin City Limits (yes I am starting to listen to COldplay again) and at the end Chris was talking about painters and stuff at the end.

I think he was comparing it to music though since he was talking about Bob Dylan, U2, Depeche Mode, R.E.M., and the like.

I'm kind of in the middle with the title. I kinda like it, but at the same time, it does sound a little weird coming from coldplay. Can't explain it really. Could be worse. I really don't care what it's called as long as the songs are good. Yea, the article says June 17th now. That's a tuesday.

yeahhh, i liked famous old painters way better. the more i think about it, the more crap i think it is. but i'm getting some satisfaction out of predicting the name! i knew it had to have SOME significance when it appeared twice in the zany video they posted in december or whenever...

but having a release date makes me 100% satisfied. 88 days!

famous old painters and the final title, are related anyways, as chris has explained that Viva la Vida is from a painting of Khalo, so she is a famous old painter anyways. ;)

Yeah, damn. But I'll live with it. Yeah the videos were obviously something to do with the album, but I didn't really think it would be right as a title.

I'm glad to finally know some details and yesterday was awesome due to the discovery of the new web site...but it would've been way more fun for Coldplay to tell us themselves instead of telling Rolling Stone...oh well...

I guess this is what we've been waiting for, but I'd like to see something about this on their own site.

 

And the title, Viva La Vida, it's ok. But I'd even rather see the album named Prospekt than this.
