The trick is in the mics and how you place them...it could come out warm and haunting, or tinny and cave-like...but I think Eno's had enough experience to know what he's doing,lol. see, I never thought about it coming out warm and haunting - I just thought about it being tinny lol. But "warm and haunting" - that sounds SO nice. I hope it is. I trust coldplay and brian eno though, so It's gotta be good :cool:

April 16, 200818 yr I don't think they play in the cathedral... The article doesn't say it, and it's unlikely due to permissions (the religious community is very susceptible in Spain). The place is not decided yet, but yes, in the newspaper they were saying it's going to be room for just about 1000 people .. honestly, it's going to be hard .. being world premiere launch show, just media and EMI can have more than that ..

April 17, 200818 yr Oo. They're surprising me quite a lot lately. First off they say their album is going to have a Spanish title and now that they're going to perform in Barcelona, an Exclusive Premier!! I just can't figure out what has happened to these guys.
April 17, 200818 yr It isn't, it's just that I've got no clue about the direction they're going to take (their music, the guys). I'm happy that they've chosen Barcelona, how couldn't I? But still... I've lost a bit of faith in them, honestly. Hopefully this feeling will change when their new album is out.

Anyway, it's for sure that if their album is good, I'll recover my interest in them. I don't usually like electronic music but there're some dance and trance songs that I like so... it's still too early to judge something like this. Let's first have a proper listen(s) to the album and then we'll see!

April 18, 200818 yr EMI has confirmed the full-length title now, just in case you missed Coldpatrix's thread.:) VLV is just a shortform. It's official!:D I beg to differ, Age Six. The acoustics in cathedrals are beautiful...even for rock music. I suspect that's what's going to give this album a lot of it's different sound since rock in a cathedral isn't typical. It will have an almost ghostly quality, imo...can't wait to find out!:D (I'm not arguing with you, just offering a differnt opinion.:)) yeah I still dont buy it, not until they say it themselves

I would have thought that anything that EMI say in terms of the new album is completely legit. The band have said all they need to say I reckon.
